I am on gabapentin to help with spasms and take a handful of aloe pills daily as well to help with inflammation per my urogynecologist

Hey when my IC gets really bad, I use azo, like for UTI. It seems to make my bladder calm down enough that I can sleep at night at least

My doctor prescribed myerbetriq. Works wonders. Don’t limit water intake. I tried that. It causes your urine to be very acidic and hurt a lot
*taking care of my son
I started wearing adult diapers a couple of years ago but never fully used them) I now tell myself especially taking care of myself and having to do everyday life that it’s okay if I can leak a little here and there or shoot if all else fails go but I haven’t been able to let myself go yet. I have trouble emptying too It’s been taking 20-30 mins lately I always have some kind of pressure too, not really pain but pressure I read that cranberries are terrible for IC tho! Unless that’s changed But have you ever heard of inner stem surgery on your bladder? I’m about to be tested if I’m eligible. It’s an implant that helps you not go and makes life normal again My older cousin has IC and had it and got to return to work and got her life back! Maybe something to look into But
I started intermittent self catheterization in December. That helps me completely empty but it hasn't eliminated all of my symptoms.
I’ve started wearing adult diapers for the leakage. I also have the same issue of not completely emptying my bladder. There is usually a frequent pressure on my bladder, but barely anything comes out. It is super frustrating! I take cranberry supplements daily that relieves the symptoms, but some days are worse than others.
I've made the mistake of limiting fluid intake in the past but that only makes it worse. Are you taking any meds? One I'm on for spasms but it definitely seems to make my frequency worse so I go smaller amounts more frequently. I have trouble emptying so that may be a contributing factor. I also take something similar to azo that is perscription strength and it helps with the urgency and burning. I carry a portable toilet in my car for emergencies since we live in a very rural area.
