Are there any other ways besides meds to get my thyroid levels balanced?

I respect if this doesn’t help you feel better about the meds….but one thing that helped me feel better was realizing that the hormone replacement meds are giving you what your body is supposed to be giving you. Ideally it could be more natural, but the hormones are just synthetic versions of what our bodies should be giving us anyways. And from what I can tell….not much added. So that helped me feel better!

I have a friend that absolutely despises medication, has gotten off everything, and uses only herbs, supplements, etc. EXCEPT for her thyroid. She's tried multiple times to get off it and always ends back on it no matter what she tries. Sorry hun. Is there a reason you want to get off it like side effects that are bothersome?

Not that is evidence-based that I know of. But my endocrinologist said selenium can be a good supplement to thyroid replacement meds.
