Does anyone know if gastric bypass is like, a terrible idea for someone with PCOS and Ehlers Danlos? Or yall think I could do it successfully.. I'd probably be covered in loose skin thanks to eds.. and idk if I'll ever lose my pcos belly.. and I'd probably go bald from stress and pcos.. idk. I wanna be under 200lbs for once and feel healthy instead of being in so much constant pain šŸ«

Please know that weight loss/thinness is not inherently healthy. Much of the information about health we have is incredibly influenced by straight up discrimination, fatphobia. Being heavy is not the health issue many people think it is. It may benefit you to learn about fatphobia in Healthcare and reconsider removing part of your stomach. Many people who get gastric bypass develop a substance use disorder since they can't get pleasure from eating a sufficient amount of food. If you have issues with your diet please see a nutritionist. But be mindful about who you see, try to avoid ones who are fatphobic and see weight itself as an issue.
