I have had two PEs post covid. The first time, after nine months, my blood seemed normal so they took me off Xarelto. After a few months, I contracted covid again and, just like last time, a month later had another pulmonary embolism. I was put back on the xarelto treatment. while taking xarelto, both times, I have a dark brown urination every morning and slightly noticeable blood in the urine during the day. The xarelto is likely the cause since the blood urination stopped when the medication wasn't taken. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, what was done to correct your situation?

I talk Xarelto and will for life. I didn't have urine issues, but did nearly bleed to death from menstruation and had to have a hysterectomy. I now sometimes have small amounts of blood in my stool from the Xarelto, but have been told "some bleeding" is normal since it's a blood thinner and nothing to worry about. I'd talk to your doctor and see if that's your case or if maybe something else is going on or if you need a different med/dose. (I had a clot from my ankle to my groin & bilateral saddle PEs at the same time. Found out after that I have a blood clotting disorder).
