How do you handle random burst of anger? I'm on medication but sometimes just the smallest and simplest things irritate me so bad I lash out.

@Dweeby question how do you go about getting off the effexor?

Me too. I get even more upset with myself for getting upset and or lashing out

I stay away from my friends and family, write about it, let myself be angry, and also beating up a heavy bag

I understand this. I've lashed out so much. šŸ˜„ I've isolated myself and I get angry when anyone comes near me or even speaks to me when I'm trying to just vibe in my room. Personally I haven't figured out what to do about the outbursts but I hope we find a solution together. Best of luck to ya. šŸ™

Keep a log and write down what happened etc. that caused this burst of anger. You may notice certain words or situations may be triggering you. Taking buspirone made my anxiety turn into agitation and I was easily annoyed with others. I stopped it and things got way better. I take meds for GAD & recently began 10 mg hydroxyzine at night and it has been helpful.

I'm on oxcarbazepine and I feel as if it's not really helping and causing more issues than before

I take hydroxyzine for anger. It helps a little but I have a short temper

I totally get like this, especially on my venlafaxine. It made me so irritated for no reason. Thank god I'm getting off of it but it really threw me off when someone would talk to me when I'm in a weird mood and I'd lash out. I typically try to do something to burn the energy like doing a sprint or jog down my street or just generally isolating myself (which the isolation helps but it's definitely not the best coping strategy)
