Hi, I had a really tough time accepting the diagnosis, and even though I just started medication for it (after 4 months of trying every single alternative treatment. Eating, exercising, supplements), there's still a part of me that thinks I'm not actually bipolar, I'm just not strong or disciplined enough to manage my life or emotions. If anyone else has felt this or not been excited to jump on meds, you get me

Yes I totally relate that's a normal feeling once you get diagnosed. Good luck 😃🤞🤗💕

I relate to this so hard! I actually was never told my diagnosis until a year into treatment (never asked), so it was easier to accept. I had mixed feelings about the mood stabilizer because it never seemed to help with the self destructive compulsions. But I’ve learned to become conscious of my moods and phases and I’ve fully accepted that it’s manic depression. I still feel like I have really poor discipline though
