I don't understand my brain sometimes...I am in such a good place in my life surrounded by so many people who care about me and love me...but I'm still not happy. I go to therapy every week and take my medicine everyday, but I still just get super down on myself. Don't really have motivation most days.

First: I'm sorry, and there's nothing wrong with you! That's just how depression is; it's not an emotion, it's a disorder. Second: make sure you're talking to your therapist openly about how you feel! They will be most qualified to give you strategies to work through depressive moods, as well as evaluate if maybe you should try different medication. My favorite tool is the Finch app. I recommend it on here all the time because it has really been a huge positive force in my life. You take care of a virtual pet bird by taking care of yourself and they will have something to share with you every day which is wonderful, but the app also has tons of great tools I love for all sorts of mental health struggles. And the free version is amazing! Best of luck to you
