Drowning in Depression: Anyone Else?

Definitely. I've always described them as up and down waves when people have asked me about my depression. It's nice to see that other people think of the mood changes as waves too.

That's a good way to put it, yes for sure. You have a good day or two and your excited to find joy, and something or nothing happens and that wave takes you down.

Yeah definitely. Sometimes more than others. I realized though that sometimes when it happens I start to panic and try to make it stop but that makes it worse. It helps when I can relax, feel the feelings instead of pushing them away, knowing it will pass. And during the time that it's there to just kinda relax and take a break from things, do something you enjoy like watching a TV show, listening to music, taking a warm shower. I hope it passes soon 💕
