Hey everyone. Has anyone else been struggling with the lack of joy found in activities that used to be fun? Sometimes I feel like I just enjoy everything less than I used to. I'm not sure what to do about it.

I have been there quite often before. It can get tiring doing the same things over and over again. I'm not really sure what to say to help you get out of a funk though. I'm struggling with that myself

I totally get that, and I feel like for me taking it slow helps. At least for me, i get stressed because I try to force the activities that used to be enjoyable in hopes that they become enjoyable again, but taking a step back and thinking that you dont need to force things and resting and staying positive helps for me ? Im not quite sure how to explain it but I totally get how youre feeling <3

I have struggled with this. I typically go back to music... Some specific, unknown song gets me back to where I want to do things again, or at least sing along.

I’m currently dealing with the same thing, but with my boyfriend which is making it especially hard:/ My suggestions on getting out of it (that have worked for me in the past and will hopefully work soon for both of us) would be watching an uplifting show, cooking, going on a nature walk, listening to podcasts, or doing puzzles. Nice, peaceful, quiet activities seem to help.
maybe just try taking a day off from everything, take a bath, make your favorite meal, and spend time with animals at least that’s what helps me :]
If I don't have access to any Therapy or Counseling (Things are bad with Covid-19) What should I do? Do you have any Self-Care tips?
You may be slipping into a depressive episode. It’s good that you’re aware of what’s going on! You should tackle it now before it gets any worse. Maybe seek a form of therapy or counseling (even just like a school counselor if you’re in school) and talk about it! I know what that’s like and it’s usually a warning sign that my depression is coming back on.
