I've been on seroquel for about 9 months now. After starting I gained about 15 pounds. I am not particularly bothered by this, but what is bothering me is that it seems like even when I am more active and eating better the weight does not come off. Anyone else struggle with feeling like they have to let go of the control over their body to have better control of your mental health symptoms?

I have been taking seroquel for about 6 months now and if anything I’ve experienced weight loss. It’s so tricky because meds react differently in everyone :( I guess it depends on how much you take too. I feel like I’ve compromised a lot just to feel less anxious through my meds. It is helpful to know it’s not just me. I hope you can figure something out that works for you :)

Hi! I had a similar issue (with even more weight gain) but after working with a naturopath on a series of tests I now know that it's actually issues with my gut (leaky gut) that have added to my weight and also had adverse impact on my mood. Not saying this is the case, but digging down to the root cause did give me a root cause and more agency and now I can work out on it.
