I experienced something weird last night. It felt like dissociation, but I was still kind of there. And afterwards I had enough energy to mumble when spoken to, and I was "lagging," answering questions that were asked 2 questions ago. Then I had a small migraine (light throbbing feeling) and very tired/mentally drained. I don't know if this was an absence seizure or really bad dissociation that I was trying to "fight."
The headache makes me lean towards a seizure, but a great question for your doctor for sure. I am currently trying to differentiate between seizures and functional seizures. It can be hard to tell sometimes!
isn't it? I had juvenile epilepsy years ago but am just going off of my meds because the doctors think my adult experiences have been these. The only way to truly tell is catch one while hooked up to an EEG or go off of the anti-seizure meds. It's been mind blowing and terrifying.
