It gets a little bit easier, bit by bit. It takes a lot of time though. And I highly recommend therapy. It can help you with finding coping mechanisms to help. 💙
I second what Valkyrie said. EMDR is said to be super beneficial for PTSD. I went and just did talk therapy, but it's important to get a good therapist, one with a background dealing with trauma that you get along with and trust. Also- do *not* do CBT. It does far more harm than good for PTSD. It can take a lot of time, which is incredibly frustrating to hear when you're suffering now. But PTSD takes a lot of time to heal. It is, essentially, a brain injury.
The best way to make things easier is therapy, as well as time. Getting help and working through the issues will decrease your symptoms dramatically. You’ll still have hard days, but it will get better overall. The other thing that helps me decrease my symptoms is cannabis, or CBD helps too if you can’t or don’t want to use cannabis.
