Hey everyone! I recently got diagnosed with adenomyosis. I’m 22 years old and experiencing a lot of pain. I’m no longer able to work in office. I have to work from home because of the constant pain. Does anyone else experience pain almost every day even off their period? This doesn’t feel normal at all 😓.

Have you had your hormone levels checked ( all 3 forms of estrogen)? My estrogen dominance was making my symptoms 10x.

I'm so sorry to hear you're in so much pain. I recently had a serious flare up because of a massive ovarian cyst I had. The pain got to the point that I couldn't be on my feet and bad to work remote as well. It was constant agony. 😥 What kinda helped was a TENS unit at least. I'm also 22 so I really understand how difficult it is to be this young and have this amount of pain.

I’m 27 now; I was diagnosed at 21. I also have pain everyday not just during menstruation or ovulation. It is awful. I’m so sorry that you have to go through so much pain and have to leave your office. It’s really difficult to have to change your lifestyle because of this condition.

I am 39 and had issues since puberty which for me was late due to how active I was in sports. When it came it was barely there but as soon as I hit collage it hit me like a freight train. I am pretty sure my endometriosis and Adenomyosis were made worse by mcas and estrogen dominance. I went to see a functional medicine practitioner who specializes in women’s health and she diagnosed me with mcas, histamine intolerance, mold toxicity and estrogen dominance. Once I balanced out my hormones my periods are manageable with out pain meds, BC, or my tens unit, just a little heat. I also was able to get pregnant again as I suffered from infertility for years. This hormone imbalances aren’t recognized by conventional medicine but for me it made all the difference in the world. I went through surgery but nothing I did helped and I was progressively getting worse especially the pain. It took a few supplements and bio identical progesterone cream over a period of a year and now my period doesn’t rule my life.

@MCADBox I so need to get my hormones balanced.
So sorry for what you are going through! I am 51 and mine didn’t start getting bad until I was in my late 30s. Luckily, I was done having children by then. I bled all the time (like clots….gross!). I eventually had vaginal hysterectomy (just uterus, not ovaries) and was VERY glad I did.
