My favorite way to calm down is to count the colors of the rainbow in the room. So like, one red thing, one yellow thing, etc. It's not foolproof, but it gets me in a calmer mindset

I hope you were able to get out of it. But for next time it happens, get yourself out of the situation if it's around people. Then find a quiet area, think about what is making you feel this way right now, take deep breaths, if you have headphones/ear pieces and you like music listen to a chill music mix on youtube and then just immerse yourself in distraction. It's really tough in the moment but everything will be okay. (:

For me, recognizing that I'm having an anxiety attack is the most important part of one. Once I understand that my body is having a physiological response to imaginary stimuli, it's easier for me to regulate. Ro mentioned the rainbow thing, that's a grounding exercise and theyre great for anxiety attacks, I also recommend mindfulness exercises. My favorite is getting an orange and taking every step of eating it slowly, take time to smell it and feel the textures as you open and eat it
