How do I manage my gender dysphoria while my parents are transphobic? Im always overthinking everything about my gender identity because I know my parents won’t support me and they’re getting to my head a bit on why it’s “not good”. They’re pretty controlling too, and like to blame me a lot of the time.

      Your family has shown you that they don't care about your needs if they don't align with their view of what those should be. It might be something they never learn to accept so what I think you should try to focus on is making sure you are giving yourself the love and kindness that you deserve. Look up self parenting or a podcast called the adult chair that might help a bit <3 I'm sorry you're going through this but please remember you are loved and are deserving of love even if your parents disagree.

        @Tastycupcakes I love you so much, thank you! Reading this gave me so much comfort. I always feel guilty because my mother has always been caring towards me until recently when I came out to her. She always tried to do what she could to help my depression and what not, but now things have changed and I can’t help but feel like it’s my fault a little bit. I’ll definitely be checking out that podcast thank you sooooo much <3 if you ever need anything i’m here to talk :)
