I actually had a similar situation, I confused to a girl I liked and they rejected me it hurt and I felt betrayed. I took some time for myself away from them. It sucked not having them there but I realized I'd rather have them as a friend than not at all. We are still friends now but I am thankful that they are very understanding of my condition

hey, i know this is rough. remember that whether someone is romantically interested in you has NOTHING to do with your worth. if it helps, remember that a platonic relationship can be just as valuable as a romantic one, but you don’t owe anyone any type of relationship. do exactly what you’re comfortable with and nothing more.
