Dealing with Vocal Tics During High Stress Periods

I have an anxiety disorder as well, and I have found that I tic on occasion. I've looked into it, and you can have tics without having a tic disorder. That might be what's happening to you. I also second what another commenter said about looking into stimming. Hope this helps!

i don’t usually have vocal ones but my head will tilt hard to the side and my eyes shut tight. it looks just like a twitch to most people. idk if it’s a tic but my therapist has said that for anxiety it’s not uncommon to get stress tics. wouldn’t hurt to talk to someone about it. like ur doctor or psychiatrist or therapist etc.

I used to have throat ticks when I was younger that would annoy my family but I haven't done it in quite a while
