How do you work out with fibro? I’ve heard a lot of people say yoga is great but I would need beginner beginner’s yoga. I’m worried about hurting myself if I don’t go to a studio.

There are so many online sites that have modified stretches to accommodate for health issues. Just follow the lowest impact version they have, give yourself a day of rest in between sessions to let your body heal from the workout, and try to keep at it like that. Eventually you'll be able to increase your version to the next level. Also, like @frustratedfibro said, swimming is great. You may be able to also find water aerobics.

Swimming!! It's a great way to get cardio in, it's fun, and it's the easiest on joints. I originally got started because along with physical therapy, I tried aquatic therapy and it was extremely helpful

Yoga isn't great for my hypermobility either- I prefer gentle reps of simple careful movements

Yoga isn't great for me, but I am also hypermobile so the stretches don't actually stretch anything. Before my pain got worse I really liked floor workouts so I could avoid standing since my pain has always been worse in my ankles. A lot of planks and ab twists. That and some light intervals for cardio. I've found that ellipticals cause less pain than treadmills for me

For years after I was diagnosed I never worked out consistantly. I would maybe exercise kinda consistant for a few weeks then stop. It was just so hard with the fatigue and pain. 6 years later I finally listened to my Dr and started working out consistantly. For a year now I work out 3 days out of the week for about 30-45 mins and give myself the weekend to recover. I started off very light and slow. My off days I do maybe 5-10 minutes of light yoga...I am really only doing the stretching to stay mobile. My hip pain had improved so much. It was amazing. Since being consistant I stopped working out once for a week and it sucked. Now im back on track.
