I had a laparoscopic ovarian cystectomy a little less than a week ago. My doctor said the referred pain in my shoulder is from the carbon dioxide gas they used pushing up on my diaphragm, and that it should only last a few days. It's been almost a week and my shoulder still hurts when I take a deep breath. I will call the doctors' office, of course, but, any tips on how to speed up this pain going away?

Omg when I had surgery (Cyst/ tumor removed from my ovary; Teratoma) I had shoulder pain and did not know why. I thought they did something to my shoulder😭😭 it was soo bad and the position I had to sleep made it even worse. I hope you are doing better now!!❤️

I had the same problem myself. It took a long time for me to get over it. The gas caused me so much pain. I hope it goes away soon

@GaPeaches Thanks, I hope so too. How long do you think it was before you were feeling better?
