The single most important thing I’ve done to manage my Crohns is to learn better emotional maintenance skills. Learning DBT via a workbook I purchased online made the most impact. Yoga and meditation too. These won’t do it alone, still need the right meds.

Been on Remicade since 2011 and it has truly been my miracle drug. I was in such bad shape then but now I have significant periods of time when I feel like I don’t even have Crohn’s. And when I do feel a flare I can generally trace it back to eating things I know I shouldn’t (lots of sugar, fibrous foods, etc). Anxiety also flares my symptoms so keeping that in check helps me too.

I feel like there are things you can do to help keep you in remission such as diet changes but I’ve always had flare ups about once a year no matter what, so I’m curious about this as well.
When you figure it out let me know. I've had crohn's since a young girl and have had 2 surgeries and just can't seem to keep it under control. I even changed my diet to an autoimmune diet
