I have a question. When you guys are out and you can’t leave, how do you cope with being anxious when you are out?? I take some medications before I go places. I do have certain things in my purse that can help. Such as Vicks, candy, and tea bags in case I need to get a cup of hot tea.

Go to the bathroom and stay in there for a bit for some peace and quiet. To breathe. To text or call someone. To splash cold water on face. Etc :)

I play music so I can focus on the music and I go shopping online and then pick it from the store so I don’t have to have the whole shopping thing.

it helps for me to be out with someone that i know, to rarely go out alone. having that support by my side is very good for me. but sometimes i have to go out alone to run errands or something, and in those moments, i try to avoid speaking to people, fidget a lot for comfort, and just get what i need without delay. i think having candy with you to keep you grounded is a really good idea and i might try that myself!
