Hi there!! I have had over the past 7 months been to the hospital 3 times (2 times in the same day because they didn’t treat me properly the first time) due to migraines/headaches, first time was double vision and extreme pain. Second time was neck pain and stiffness and extreme pain to head. I saw a neurologist last Friday and for some reason I can’t officially be diagnosed until I have two more big episodes. But he believes it is migraines. Is that accurate? I have been doing prevention medication. I found out that my aunt and my grandma on my dad’s side have experienced migraines but not as bad as mine. Thanks, LCG

Im sure things have changed since 1992 (when my migraines started). For me, guaranteed to be migraine when imitrex shot took away the migraine in 10 minutes. Back then, it was only in shot (self injectable) format. The first dose had to be given at doctors office due to heart related possible issues (not easy as too bad is too nauseous to get there, too little and no sense going). So back then, the answer is if the meds work, it had to have been a migraine. That's all that med treats.
