90-110 or below is what it should be if you are testing your sugar about 2 hours after a meal. Before a meal, I think it's okay if it a little high than than that, but the important part is to watch not just sugars but total carbs in a meal, because of how carbs digest down into sugars. Ideally, you want to try and stay to a max of no more than 60g-70g per meal, and no more than 20g-25g for any snacks between meals

It supposed to be 90 or below. But my fasting is 110. My doctor told me that's okay and it's normal for a overweight diabetic.

My doctor told me to check my fasting #. Once every morning before breakfast. That will give you an idea if your body brings your sugar down while u sleep. It means your body is doing its part

I don't check, just make sure to eat low carb foods. Mostly veggies and protein

When I found out that I had diabetes, I had to check my sugar three times a day before meals. Now, my sugar is alot better. I check it one time a day before breakfast. Your doctor should have let you know.
