yes, already utilizing my medical cannabis card. It helps, but then i am out of it for a few hours because of how much it takes to help. Still, it is way better than having to deal with the pain of feeling every step i take.
Pressure point massage therapy (with assisted stretching) helps me. It hurts like hell getting it done most of the time, but it's the only thing that allows my muscles to truly release. Gentle stretching and yoga (or Chi Guong or Tai Chi) also help me. I personally like Chi Quong best.
I am in aqua therapy and they do do some manual therapy at the end of our sessions, but it does hurt a lot. I know that alternatives may hurt a lot at first, but the outcome is worth it. I am going to be adding massages back into my treatment plan- it's always nice and relaxing when there isn't too much pressure.
Yes!!! I just went to the PT and he did deep muscle release on my hip stretchers!! Wow! It released my whole back! I loved it, going again but it’s hard to get the same guy -
I'm so glad it helped you! It is really hard to get the same person. I had one guy that was amazing. He had gentle, flowing movements, and it honestly felt like he had an angels touch. The next time, the guys movements felt forced, jerky and rough. 😕 But, I am not so stiff and I feel so much better afterwards.
i highly recommend aqua therapy if available. It has been so much easier on my body and less recovery time than when i do PT on land. That is great that the exercise worked!
I found out there are fibromyalgia massages. Instead of deep pressure, my massage therapist used a dry brush and light pressure. It helped "trick" the nervous system into calming down. Helped me feel better for around 3 weeks at a time.
my massage therapist just called it a fibromyalgia massage. It might also be known as a dry brush massage? Or you could ask for light pressure instead of deep pressure.
i take thc/cbd chewables currently as the smoke irritates my asthma. They're 40mg chewables, but really strong so i only take like 1/3 at a time because of how it lowers my O² too much if i take more. I have heard a lot about the delta 8, but the stores i use don't have it on hand last i checked.
oh wow, that sounds amazing. That'll take some research. I've only ever done a "test" beforehand where it ask about my conditions, so they know what pressure to use, but not necessarily one directed towards Fibro.
I’ve definitely 100% had symptoms go away completely with THC/CBD . After stopping taking it about two weeks in all my aches and pains start returning.
I tried CBD in a few forms, to help my pain at night so I could sleep. Each time I woke up 2-3 hrs later feeling like I was crawling out of my skin. Turns out I'm allergic to it. UGH. Of all the things to be allergic to! LOL
