I need to find healthier foods for same foods, I currently eat ice cream every day and I know that’s not helping my conditions! I just can’t seem to find any alternatives that stick around and are as easy to make and similar enough. The repetition is incredibly soothing to me and I have a huge amount of control over how it turns out. I cut up two bananas over Oreo ice cream and top it with whipped cream and chocolate syrup. Obviously that’s not the best food for daily consumption, at least I get some fruit in :’). I won’t be able to cut it out entirely but I need to ease up on the frequency. Can anybody recommend something that’s not spicy or sour, consistent (doesn’t vary in flavour or taste from one meal to the next), and easy to prepare?

@NearpTude Agreed, premade juice and smoothies are super tasty and easy, but expensive. People always say "juice is bad for you because they're high in sugar" but if I'm going to have the sugar no matter what, I think it's a great choice, especially 100% juice or puree type drinks compared to something like lemonade with less fruit in it. Bolthouse Farms makes similar products that are also super tasty, if that's easier to find than Naked where you are

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before but frozen bananas are pretty good:) I usually put peanut butter or Nutella on them

I'm not sure how hard it is without something made specifically for making quesadillas, but I like to sneak some vegetables in mine. It's not the greatest health wise but the cheese masks the vegetables just enough while still getting some flavor from the veggies. I also like to hide hemp seeds in whatever I can for protein since they're small and don't have much flavor, just be careful when experimenting with them since they can actually make the texture of things like yogurt worse (in my opinion)

I was wondering if you could continue doing this, but find some healthier alternatives, perhaps icecream with less sugar in it, or soy icecream, or something like that. (Don’t know if you’re in the uk but) Tesco used to have a vegan chocolate sauce that you could use to make hot chocolate with. Maybe you could add extra berries or nuts or things like that, so that you’re getting extra nutrients while you’re at it. Actually rather than oreo cookies giving it a nice crunch, you could use dried coconut bits or nuts that you can just buy in a lil packet.

A couple suggestions that I like going for, they'll the same every time: -- Outshine fruit bars, they're made entirely out of fruit, if I recall correctly (I forgot about these, I haven't had some since the summer lol) -- Naked fruit smoothies, they're also made entirely out of fruit or vegetables ...my favorite's the mango lol. I recently started buying the huge jugs of them a few months ago. Not the cheapest thing though, haven't had any since last year

Since it seems you like bananas already, you can make ice cream from *just* bananas. It's pretty good. From the times I've had it, it's about the same consistency every time, and the same consistency as actual ice cream. Freeze how ever many ripe bananas you think you'll need, right in the peel. After frozen, take off the peel and blend it in a blender, and put it in a bowl, that's literally it! (The consistency might change with the ripeness of banana, I'm not sure, but I think the taste would) Decorate/top with whatever. Even Oreos, or even blend it with Oreos, or whatever sounds good. (so you can just toss the bananas in the freezer and forget about it, cause they won't go bad I'm pretty sure. That's for all the bananas you've already forgotten about lol.)

it can seem a bit scary, but I love to make homemade ice cream. my recipe is just coconut milk, coco powder, sweet dates (definitely not necessary), a little bit of sugar and vanilla extract. it would also be really good with fruit mixed in! I just put all of that in my ice cream maker and it makes a consistent ice cream every time!

Yasso frozen Greek yogurt bars are really good, in my opinion. They still taste creamy but only 100-150 calories per bar and come in a wide range of flavors. I switched to them when I was also trying to find healthier alternatives to food. Also, you're right. You don't have to cut it out completely. If you enjoy it (it sounds fucking delicious) then have it every so often. Hope this helps!

I have zero medical or dietary training other than my own personal experiences, so take this as you will! Maybe some days you can substitute ice cream for Sorbet? It has fewer calories than ice cream, has no fat, and has vitamin C. Since it's made with fruit, it has a decent amount of sugars. Ice cream doesn't need to be completely cut out of your life since it has good things, too, like calcium, iron, and vitamin A. I think it also depends on how much ice cream you're eating in a day compared to the rest of your diet. If you eat healthful foods all day (lean proteins, tons of veggies, healthy grains, etc), a couple of scoops of ice cream can get the fats you need, too.

Nachos. With the same brand of tortilla chips (I use everyday essentials from Aldi) the same brand of salsa (I use I think it’s dolmio not entirely sure tho) and the same brand of cheese (I use everyday essentials from Aldi). You can control the amount of each component and will taste the same every time
