I have Fiorecet. I try to only use them when I absolutely have to because i found I have more rebound migraines when I use the medication. I normally just try to find a cool dark quiet place and ride them out. I’ve tried many of the medications and just found this to work the best for me.
Imatrex, maxalt and ajovy. In my opinion the ajovy works best. The maxalt was great bc it disolves without needing to swollow it whole but it stopped working for me... If you also have fibro you should check with a Dr to see if it is the cause... Also sometimes toradol injection but has to be done in the Drs office
i just recent had a procedure done called Radio frequency ablation - it was done on the back of my head to dead the nerves that cause the headache. It had to be done in two parts the left side then a few weeks later the right side. The recovery from each procedure was terrible! I had the worst headaches I have ever had, nausea, vomiting and I even passed out a few times (which i am prone too) but for the past three days my headaches have improved so much. Let’s say my pain level was a 8-10 now it’s more like a 4-5 which I can go to work with and function. I also use a huge ice pack a lot when I go to bed and the fiorecet when I absolutely have too! If you can bare the recovery process I think it’s worth it!
I just picked up Ubrevly at the pharmacy today. Going to try that. I’ve tried everything else on the market. Also take narcotics, muscle relaxers and morphine
I've taken fioricet. It caused rebound headaches. I've had the "cocktail" shot many times, which consists of toradol, phenergan and benadryl. I need to talk to my doc about having something I can keep at home.
I the only med I've found without horrible side effects is nurtec, it helps somewhat for a couple hours but you can only take it once every 48 hours so that kinda sucks. Botox helps lower the severity for me close to injection, but not the frequency and it does wear off
To date nothing has worked so far. I wanna go holistic but sadly ins doesn’t cover it. Mr neurologist is going to put me on a three shot off three month and repeat regimen not sure or what the med is
