My spleen has remained normal throughout but I know they check my spleen every appointment. I know it's common but I'm not sure why. Maybe it depends on the severity of your ESLD? My MELD was 17 at time of diagnosis and is down to a 6 now. My pancreas has benign lesions however.
oh okay makes sense lol. I know every 6 months it measures a little bit more . I have to get abdominal ultrasound on my Liver ,kidneys and ect.. and they always measure a little bigger .
I forgot to ask my liver dr.why at our last appt .I'll have to call and leave a message for her tomorrow. Cuz I'm very curious why ? I do have to say I'm blessed with the best Dr . Although I know Ultimately its God working thru her for me .
Ok for sure I'll let u know ,I'll have to write it down to remind myself to call otherwise I'll forget.
My memory has gotten so bad due to all the medications and or Liver issues.
Unfortunately, its not uncommon. I was told by my dr that its because their so close to each, its easy for one to cause the other problems. Been dealing with both of mine being enlarged. Their hoping once we get my liver stable they will stop enlarging and hopefully, my spleen will shrink. They've grown 3 cm in the last 6 months.
