I noticed there’s a lot of people (including myself) commenting that zoloft didn’t work. Just wanted to say a reminder that all antidepressants effect people different. It’s all dependent on the individual. I have friends who have been taking Zoloft for years and claim it is the best thing that has ever happened to them. One told me she never wants to stop taking it. So it truly is just something you will see for yourself if it works or doesn’t. Give it a chance either way!

I've actually started a smaller dose for myself. I only take one pill a day now plus pot. My allergy pill doesn't make me sleepy anymore which is a bonus.

It didn’t work out for me for stomach reasons. I remember when I tried it, I was tired but I was calm and it felt amazing. Then I started building up acid and the next day I threw up and then I couldn’t eat for 2 days. I have IBS and the psychiatrist told me it’s rare for the medicine to cause issues.

I was triggered into a manic rage by zoloft, but that tipped of my med provider that I had bipolar instead of MDD so it was technically a good thing!😁

Zoloft made me feel more depressed and suicidal. It just differs from person to person tho ofc. Cause now I'm on Lexapro and it works great.

I take it now and LOVE it. I tried lithium and abilify prior, and had experiences like those mentioned in other comments (exhausted and felt like a zombie with no emotions). Now I feel GOOD pretty much every day and I don’t have any bad symptoms that I can tell (I’ve been on it for 4-5 months). I hope you find something that your body responds well to!

@_Chrysanthemum It’s also what two of my best friends take with good results and what my boyfriend took to get better (and he was able to ween himself off of it). I just thought I’d add that to give you hope since a lot of commenters didn’t have good experiences with it. I think it’s worth a shot. Good luck ❤️

I had a bad experience that caused a suicide attempt and periods of times I can't remember.

Taking zoloft helps me suppress my emotions so well that I'm not having negative or positive thoughts it's all kinda monotone.

It just made me tired all the time which just ended up making me feel worse

It helped my conditions but side effects were too difficult to deal with so I got switched to Effexor

It has worked well for me un the past but I was also on a couple of "amplifiers" so idk if it counts
