hellošŸ‘‹ I am super nervous around people and get severe anxiety when talking to new people. I am quite codependent and struggle being alone. I am in a healthy relationship of 1.5 years now. I am looking for advice to help break codependency and help with my anxiety. I am unmedicated so I prefer alternatives to medication.

@JupiterGhost thank you for the advice. My s/o started a job and now has to travel for work. he left today and I feel at such a loss. I haven't lived alone, without a roommate or s/o, in four years. I will try the journaling thatk you šŸ¤—

Hey! I was in a similar situation after an abusive relationship. My partner forced me to be codependent, and it became a problem for me. I am now in a healthy relationship of almost two years with my fiancƩ. The biggest tip I can give you, is to slowly push yourself to begin doing things on your own, or be without, and ask for assurances when you need it! "Will you leave?" Or even "Will I be okay?" Lean on your partner. Another thing that really helped me was Journaling. When things became too overwhelming that I couldn't speak, it was so much easier to write down everything and share that with my partner. I also created a playlist on Spotify that was full of songs that would help me feel more comfortable and secure. I hope this helps!

@wickeedraven I completely understand. Sending hugs! If you ever want to chat, feel free to reach out! But trust me, you're going to be just fine. Take it as a time to work on your relationship with yourself! Watch a show you love, listen to music, maybe even try a new hobby! You're already on your way to coping! Being on this app is a great way to talk to others and pass the time
