Does anyone else feel like their whole day is ruined if their routine gets thrown out of whack? Or if someone messes with an OCD trigger?

YES. it's part of the nightmare..... personally i've learned somewhat to let things go without much consequence (meds are of great help),but it's always in the back of the mind no matter what. try to stop the domino effect by creating visual wall bricks in your mind, with the thoughts on one side, and yourself on the safe side at rest on a comfortable bed, breathing in the scented candle of your choice, with the sound and feeling of a cool breeze flowing over you from an open window.
yeah...I had 1 kid, 2 cats, and an ex who might have well been another child. And he LOVED pushing my buttons and hitting my triggers. Finally got out. Now I've got new challenges.

All the time. And what makes it even harder is when your the only one that has OCD and are watching 3 kids and a house full of animals.
