How can I stop having nightmares all the time? I’m just not myself and I’ve often thought that I’d never be worth anything

Meditation before bed has helped me. Sleep stories as well! I have also heard wonders about EMDR therapy and hypnotherapy!

The medication Prazocin virtually eliminated mine, and is a known treatment.

@kimmyk33 I’ve wondered if they work then with my heart I’m afraid of any meditations. I take as little as possible. Does it help and does it have side effects. Right now I’m doing ok with dreams but ya know in case I slip and stop following my routine

@Lilas_Mommy it helps most days other days no. Today was a good day for me. But I haven't had a good day in awhile.

Absolutely I’ve been there for years but after I started the routine and meditation right before bed in my dark room I’ve only had one nightmare. It’s so exhausting but I’m fighting really hard right now as a week or so ago I was at my worst.

I do work out before I go to bed but sometimes I’m still up all night just wanting to go to sleep and not wake up

One thing that has helped me with nightmares is creating a night routine and stick to it. Meditation before bed is excellent
