I know a fair amount if you have any other questions I’d be happy to try and help. I think it’s worth bringing up to both but I’d go with the talking to your therapist first. In the mean time looking into grounding exercises might be helpful. If you have supportive people in your life opening up about it can allow them to support you which helps more than you’d expect sometimes.

What I experience may be different but I have “disassociative seizures”. I was having these “spells” badly last summer, I was hospitalized with a 3 day long EEG. They diagnosed me with Conversion Disorder. I work thru stress reducing measures from my Dr and Therapist and that has helped. I still have them sometimes but it has lessened.

I can’t say I know much outside of my experience, but I just posted something about that… I been calling whatever I’ve experienced dissociation, but I think I had symptoms of derealization as well. I was in that space for about six years, when it started it was just every once in awhile and then it got more frequent until it was constant. It’s worth bringing up with any doctor or therapist you’re working with for sure.

i would bring it up to both! doesn’t matter which one you tell first. i struggle with it 24/7 so you are not alone! your doctor will probably figure out what to do medically while your therapist will give you coping skills.
