@GoldenFume I’m not sure if you are being sarcastic so I answered as if it was a question

I've read some studies on this and it is loosely prescribed off-label for some ADHD cases. It doesn't work as well as a stimulant, based on studies. And also in my experience but it does contribute a little bit to the stimulant. I'm not Prozac (for OCD/Anxiety/Depression) and Vyvanse (stimulant for ADHD. I am also on Welbutrin which is also an off-label antidepressant used for ADHD. I found more focus adding Prozac to the mix. But there is some research into its effectiveness too. It is not commonly prescribed for ADHD. But yes, it can be effective for some people. It will take 2-4 weeks to see an improvement for ADHD and 6-8 weeks for depression and anxiety. If you're not seeing a change in a month or so, it would probs be good to try something. I am not a doctor though! So your doc will know better but it's good to be open about it.

Hmm. Fluoxetine is generic for Prozac- an SSRI, often used for mood and anxiety disorders. Sometimes drugs are used off label- for example: I take blood pressure medications to try to help my insomnia. The first medication class that comes to mind for ADHD are stimulants. However, there are a lot of newer medications to the market that are not stimulants. Still concerned? Call your doctor and ask- openly communicate, or get a second opinion, or ask your pharmacist.

@GoldenFume yes! They didn’t go to school just to count pills.
