I'm 5 months pp. I've been on pristiq (Desvenlafaxine) since the beginning of July. I just feel so down đŸ˜„. Nothing really makes me happy and I feel like life is so boring and repetitive. My doctor says the pristiq will just take some symptoms away not all but my question is what symptom is it taking away? :( idk what to do anymore I feel hopeless

I am on Pristiq for ppd. I have been taking it for one year and 3 months. My son is 16 months now. I am separated from my husband and it's just me and my baby living together and I'm a SAHM... Trying to support him and I financially. It's the HARDEST thing I've gone through and very challenging EVERY SINGLE DAY. I had to trust in Pristiq because there were no other options... But concerned the medicine is just a joke. I can relate: what is it really helping me with..

I can totally relate to the feelings you described! The first couple months after I gave birth were so intense and very much repetitive with all kinds of things around the baby like feeding him, changing, etc. Now, after a year I feel much better, maybe because I went back to work, maybe because my son grew and now I can play with him and do different activities or maybe I just got used to my new life. Hang on and don't forget to treat yourself and think about your needsđŸ€—

No I was on zoloft for years prior to this baby. It stopped working, they've tried prozac, wellbutrin, and a few others first.

What you’re dealing with sounds so familiar to me. This feeling of “what’s the point?” was the feeling of my entire day. I don’t have any experience with pristiq. Was it the first drug that’s been prescribed to you?

I have ppd as well and have the same symptoms I’m so sorry you are going through that đŸ„ș
