does anyone just not sleep because they're anxiety keeps them not sleeping, just in my mind so much at night and I cant turn it off and I just cant stop worrying about everything and my mind spirals out of control and when I try to think of calming things to help me my depression kicks in and i feel like not doing anything and then I feel worse and upset because I want to sleep but I cant. I'm so tired all the time because, my mind wont let me sleep. I barely get a shut eye. and my anxiety just takes control of me. I end up crying myself to sleep most nights and waking up so many times during the night.

I relate to this so much. I try to play something in the background just to keep my brain focused on someone talking on a show or podcast. But I keep the volume really low so I can drift to sleep. I will admit it always takes a long time. I still struggle with sleep most nights. But this is the only thing iv found that helps me a bit. Also sedatives can help. But it’s makes it hard for me to get out of bed in the morning. It’s a mess :( I know it’s hard

Wow! Sorry to hear it's more than bad. My mom Before she passed away had severe insomnia she felt she was losing her mind at times metaphorically speaking of course, but all she wanted to do was get a good night's rest with sleep

I take meds or I am awake til dawn. Even with meds I sometimes don't sleep all night. Enhances my anxiety. I have not found a way to ensure sleep using all the " tricks" and medication for years. What a curse. No panic attacks but impacts my relationships.

Yes, in order to try and prevent this, I take a bath before, turn off all electronics and then sit awake in bed for ten minutes. Then I have to go to sleep with medication and listening to music the whole time

Yes definitely! Thank you, I will definitely try that. Appreciate it so much.... Even though I'm all lights out and no sound kind girl, that sounds worth trying

I often get super in my head with my anxiety at night if I don’t have a podcast to listen to. I also tend to do this all the time when I think of it. I have to have something auditory going on in my surroundings in order to feel less anxious. Maybe try that if that sounds like it could work for you! It’s all different for all of us but I just felt like saying what works for me

I sometimes take over the counter Dramamine as well.... It's motion sickness, but it's non addicting so that's a plus....

Yes, my mind and thoughts just start racing around in my mind once I try closing my eyes at night..... Restless for sure....
