Last week I scheduled my hysterectomy. Has anyone else had one or know what the recovery process/hormone process will be like?

Hi, do you cut out just the uterus or the fallopian tubes as well? The uterus itself is not responsible for the hormones to the ovaries. If you take them out you may need to take some kind of hormonal treatment. When I did the c-section, I only cut out the uterus without the papules. The recovery was not easy but also not very long and I was able to return to function a few weeks later, even to normal sexual function. What I can say is that this surgery greatly improved my pain. It was a real lifesaver.

@Christina11 I’m so glad to hear that it improved your pain! That makes me so hopeful. They are thankfully leaving my ovaries and are taking my uterus and fallopian tubes. It’s nice to hear that recovery is quick. Thanks for the response ❤️
