I look forward to being alone because it gives freedom to self harm which is still sometimes the only thing that makes me feel calm. I had a bunch of life set backs. my stress/rage is just wild. I backslid and started harming again. I feel really disappointed in myself. I feel really ashamed. but I can't make the stress go away. but nothing brings that numb ease that I crave.

      Don’t be too hard on yourself. It is definitely not a good thing that you went back to that, but don’t be ashamed. Focus on what to do to prevent it. I do find that self harm can be a very quick stress reliever but there are alternatives even if they are not as satisfying, punching a heavy bag (or punching bag WITH GLOVES) is a good alternative for me, it gets out the anger and is really satisfying for that. It also physically tires me out. I definitely suggest trying that, that is the best alternative I have found
