Hi everyone! Feel like I have had such a long journey! I have been having joint pain since a very young age. I have had blood work now for everything my doctors can thing of and that leaves the last thing on their list is fibromyalgia. I am a little nervous to be officially diagnosed. Any tips or suggestions for me? Thanks in advance!😊

Read “The Mayo Clinic: Guide to Fibromyalgia” Played a huge part in how I was able to handle my diagnosis. You can do this! You are not alone!!

I also have osteoarthritis, do you think that you may have arthritis since you have had joint pain for a long time?

@Purplelover I have been tested for arthritis. Also negative.

The trigger test is great but I didn't pop for the trigger test for several years now I pop for all the other triggers it's one way they can test but if you have other symptoms under the umbrella they will diagnose you. I had fibro my whole life as I look back but it only became apparent in my late 20s

Anti inflammatory diet! Don't need to get too crazy, but increase foods that fight inflammation and decrease foods that promote it. Brown rice, cauliflower rice, whole grains, less dairy, less sugar, less red meat, less processed stuff, more TUMERIC, more berries, etc.

Ask for a trigger point test, I think Fibromyalgia falls under the Rheumatology umbrella. It's not invasive.. I think a tool is used (not always) to apply pressure to 18 sites on your body. If the doc gets a reaction on 11 or more...fibro. I was told I would be diagnosed with an auto-immune condition at some point. Good luck
