had anyone had luck losing weight with any specific diet? or just by cutting back on any certain foods? unfortunately for me i have ibs and gerd so there’s a lot i just can’t eat anyway. i have to stay away from any red meat, so the only meat based protein i can have is chicken or shrimp (fish is gross to me lol). i try my best to stay away from dairy but i’m not very good at it. any help at all would be great!

I’m going to work on going gluten-free and grain-free. last time i eliminated all starches I saw a massive difference within a month, but then got sick with another illness and had to start eating more calories to simply get my strength back

No particular diets have helped me I've tried what feels like all of them. I did caloric counting which did help me loose a little bit of weight but not much. Figuring out my food allergies did help more.
Some people have had success with going dairy free and gluten free. But it depends on your ability to do so, I love dairy too much and can't afford all the gluten free alternatives.
When I stopped eating gluten I lost a lot of weight in just one month. I think it's mainly because it made me eat less carbs overall. Unfortunately after one month I gave up😥
I think you're on track here. Find some veggies and complex carbs that you love, and mix and match them. Don't restrict yourself from a food group that hasn't proven an intolerance (if red meat bothers you like it does me, avoid). In other words, if you can have grains and see birthday cake, treat yourself to a slice then keep up with the whole foods. Restriction and diet culture can make or break the eating habits of those like us with PCOS, so don't be afraid to indulge every once in a while.

Definitely saw actual results only with Keto/Low Carb diet, but it wasn’t very sustainable after a year or so. I try not to restrict my carb intake anymore, but I’m definitely more mindful.
Yes, I went gluten free as well and it changed my life!
Gluten frees the only thing that helped me honestly
