I'm wanting to tell my friends about my thoughts and my depression, but I don't know to bring it up, do you guys have any advice?

Something that helps is make sure they're able to talk first. Tell them you would like to talk about something serious to you. Explain your feelings and how you aren't doing well. And if applicable tell them how they might be able to help. I had a friend who wanted to help and would just causally ask me every day if I felt safe with myself. I hope this helps 💕

Ask if they're okay with talking about it. I feel like it's easier to start a conversation about it if I let them know that I want to talk about some heavy stuff, and ask if they're in a good mental space to hear it

Let them know you're not feeling that great and would like to talk about it
I find it hard for others to understand true depression, I know a lot of people just don’t get it! 😔
Ask how they are doing and then say you aren't doing well and just see if they ask what's wrong
