@Asoingberg you will find it, don't worry if the motivation to manually alter your worldview doesn't appear overnight... Everyone is different and there are different ways to discover stuff like that

I struggle with this every day. One piece of advice that my grandmother, who also struggles with depression and negative thought, gave me is to "fake it till you make it." You don't have to even believe it, but all you can do is the best that you can do. Putting one foot in front of the other, and keep moving forward. Love to you ❤
@kat32 I've heard of this a lot, maybe it's a sign for me to start doing this. For some reason faking things feels... not very honest towards myself? I don't know why but I'll try. Thank you so much
For me: if I'm not able to see the positive or the upside, I can easily become so pessimistic and distraught that I become irrational and can't operate. It's a conscious, active effort that I make in training my personal personal perspective and it's a very weird manual process for me. In the corporate world, they call it "positive positioning". Doing that but in real life can help you remain confident and honest in the face of adversity. At this point, sometimes I put it like this to myself-- You've got to stay positive, otherwise what will you do? Not much!
@fakeosphere this is interesting. I do get tired of pessimism a lot but for some reason it's like an addiction to me. I keep going back to it. I wish I had more motivation to fight it but I want to learn how I can do that
Like if I do this than I will get this
And see if there is a good outcome for this and if not reward yourself no matter how big or small the reward is
@Mirko thank you for these
Be honest with what you feel and how it affects you
