The most helpful thing for me is to stay out of your bed unless you’re going to sleep. That includes when you’re having a hard time falling asleep. Just get up and do something else until you start to get sleepy again and then get back into bed. Sometimes if it’s possible you might want to even stay out of your bedroom unless your relaxing or going to bed. A bed time routine doesn’t have to be complicated. For me I just know that when I take my contacts out, change into pajamas, and brush my teeth it’s time for bed

Set an alarm to go to bed and make sure not to ignore it, and try your hardest to gets some rest!

Just do what’s best for you. For me I like to shower, wash my face, get into my pajamas, make some tea, turn the lights off and turn my fairy lights on, and listen to a calm meditation or watch a calm movie or read a book. Try different things and see what works best for you. What makes you feel most relaxed and has your brain understanding that it’s time for bed.

@Ella101 (If I do watch a movie I use blue light filter glasses and turn on the night light setting on my computer which turns off the blue light that keeps you up)
I'm sorry, I don't have advice but we call my daughter marebear!

@aries02 yeah only using my bad to sleep has really helped my body understand that it should fall asleep when I get in bed. In my dorm, there isn’t room for me to relax anywhere else, so I modified this method. Now I lay on top of my blankets if I’m not trying to sleep, and under them when I am.
