Finally starting buspar today for anxiety that has been crippling! Had to beg my PCP when my psych couldn’t get me in…but I digress. I am a recovery addict and one of my issues was benzos hence a non addictive anxiety med. If you’ve taking buspar or Buspirone is it immediate effect, over time, what can I expect???? I’m taking 7.5mg as needed

Ive been on it for years! It takes about 2-3 weeks for it to mesh with your system. Make sure to communicate with your support network and to look for smaller changes. You may not notice them but others will.
I’ve been taking it for a couple years, i believe it took a few weeks before I was really noticing it.
Just took my first dose and definitely feel a little sleeping like eyes a little heavy not necessarily a body buzzing feeling. I guess I’ll have to stay tuned! DM me! Would love to talk about sobriety
I’m also in recovery! I just started yesterday and it makes me pretty tired, I think it does build up in your system but also has some immediate effect.
