Yes! I definitely find myself working in spurts. I'll work diligently for weeks, then fall off for weeks. I think the best way to work through it is to remind yourself of the importance of it, and perservere. Usually, once I start my reading/exercise, I get into it and it kicks back up. Yes. I graduated the first stage of dbt and so I know my skills but I never get myself to do the work and so I spiral. I'm supposed to start trauma work but I keep acting on my urges instead of using my skills so it keeps getting pushed back. It sucks not being able to progress because I hold myself back.
