When first diagnosed with APS in 2019 I was placed on Eliquis. Then after doing my own research it said only Coumadin is approved for APS although there are a couple poorly funded studies into using new Gen Anti-Coagulants with APS (don't require labwork) Anyone with APS aware of the newer ones being prescribed at all? Thanks!

I have been following this too. I am continuing to have terrible clot related symptoms on apixaban and I want to switch to a k antagonist but my doctor doesn't support it. I'm curious why so many of us are put on apixaban?

@Uael to the best of my knowledge and research I've done in my own the only medication that's approved for anti phospholipid syndrome is Warfarin. I started on Eliquis and while it's so much easier to manage from the doctor and patient end of things (no labs needed) its 1. Not yet approved for APS therapy *still undergoing study and 2. When taking Coumadin for APS home testing is very risky due to false positive and negatives so I go to the lab for an INR monthly.
