Struggling with Depression and Self-Harm

I used to self harm until I hones enough coping skills that self harming was the last thing I want to do to myself even when I have urges. I have so many other things to do. Do you have a therapist?

I used to cut but I stopped 7 years ago. It was a way for me to escape the emotional pain, a negative way of coping. I'm not 100% sure what got me to stop, I think it was one of my inpatient stays and seeing other people go through it worse than me. How I felt like I don't want them to hurt themselves anymore and how sad it was. And realizing that I was hurting and scaring those who love me more than I was hurting myself especially my son.

Don’t be too hard on yourself, easier said than done ik, but sh can be quite addicting after you’ve done it for so long. I know firsthand. You’re doing the best you can
