My doctor advised me not to get the vaccine. In my case I kept getting virus after virus and with me never getting a long enough period for the vaccine I just never got it.

I was immune to covid totally immune still am I got the jag which was a waisted journey all it did is fuck with my anxiety and mess it up and literally made me wanna die still feel that way but that’s getting better

I got the first one and had a panic attack after. Never got the second one even thdo everyone in my family was pressuring me to get it. And they finally all caught covid. I was around them the whole time and never had symptoms or tested positive.
I got 2 rounds and the boosters too. I feel like it helped when I did get COVID to keep the symptoms less awful.
I did feel weak after it for a week. But I think it's better than dieing if I get covid a second time. I still have breathing issues and chronic fatigue from when I got it the first time.
428d
I have had 4 doses and everyone made me I’ll for about 4 days. I still got Covid twice and was poorly with it. Imagine what I would have been like without the jabs
I can't help much I had no problems with it other than a slight sore arm mostly around the injection site.
It was fine
I got the first two shots of Moderna and I got COVID arm which was annoying but not biggie. I haven’t done any boosters though.
I got the Moderma vaccines at my mom's work (CVS) and my left arm was sore for a few days after each shot. Thankfully, I didn't have any bad side effects from it. COVID on the other hand was awful. I had it for 10 days after Thanksgiving last year and I wasn't alone going through it as my parents had it as well. Thankfully the vaccines kept us from being severely ill from COVID. It started as a sinus infection and I still have a lingering cough from it, but I'm not contagious anymore since it's been months since I had it. I still need to get my 2nd booster shot for COVID-19.
I had Pfizer for both of my vaccines. I had annoying/uncomfortable side effects for about a week after each shot, the first 2 days were AWFUL. But I'd already had COVID twice by the time I had the vaccine (even with over the top sanitation and masks). Honestly can't say it helped, got COVID twice more after vaccine and both times were just as rough as the times before. I have a very weak immune system though and seem to fall ill when no one else does. My reactions to the shots were worse than most of my social circle as well. 🤷🏻♂️I just seem susceptible to COVID.

Absolutely nothing went wrong. Just stupid Trump is trying to freak you out in my point of view.
the ones I've had weren't too bad just arm ache a bit but that was it my only issue is I'm unable to get some of the vaccines because of the medication I'm on so I'm behind on covid vaccines right now
It made me loose the ability to use my arm for the longest time, I got the ability back but that pause scared me
431d
I have had the vaccine and the boosters and still ended up with COVID for about 2 weeks
First and third were just fine, day of the second booster took me out but I was absolutely fine by the next day.
433d
Little sleepy. Third booster led to diarrhea 🙈
I mean even with the shot we can still get covid. It's a personal choice but me and my doctor decided it might not be a good idea with my conditions. I've had covid a few times once in the beginning of it September 2019- April 2020 was sick this whole time. My doctor thought it was the flu but it was something much worse. I caught it once last year and once last month. Both of the last times were because my in laws didn't tell me that they were sick. As they always do putting me and my kids at risk. Other than that I haven't been sick. I wear my mask while I am out. I stay far away from people. Especially if they are sick. When I go out I get the things that I need and go back home.
I have had COVID for a week and half and it sux big time walking up and down stairs was the worst feeling ever
One shot..Jansen...no more. My doctor keeps trying to get me boosted, but I don't want it. I have been exposed up close and personal with Covid +, family and friends, my co tinued results...-, many of my boosted Co workers are also excessively sick 😫...hmm. Are the ARVs promoting some sort of viral defense?
436d
1st shot, not much. 2nd shot, I was sick for 24 hours with vomiting, abdominal pain, fever, chills, vertigo, and horrible acid reflux (much worse than my normal) for 7 days straight with no breaks.
496d
The only side-effect that *might* have been from the vaccine was my tiredness the next day (although, that could be from a number of other things too)
My experience is that I didn’t get any side affects until it hit right about 2 hours after and then I was just donezo. I was OUT! I slept the whole day and woke up sweating and in jeans still 😭
I can't have it as it paralysed me waist down my legs for or 2 months
i’ve had zero vaccines and i’ve has covid once but it was very mild and barely there in my opinion, just a common cold.
I've had 3 with no recactions
I've had 4 with little to no issues other than I sore arm.
497d
The first one gave me a sore arm for a day. The second once gave me mild flu symptoms the next day, but nothing else. Haven't gotten the booster yet.
had every vaccine including boosters. Best decision I made. I'm vulnerable and caught covid after 3 vaccines and it was horrible. I now have long covid
I'm never getting it
never had any issues I'm 4x vaccinated I'm just suffering with long covid right now because I had covid last month
498d
Never had any issues with the first 2 and my first booster aside from a sore arm. My second booster made me feel like I was hit by a bus the day after, but after that I was right as rain.
Not too bad, just some drowsiness
The vaccine was really tough for me, but that only made me realize how much I needed the vaccine and boosters!
499d
I have had both main vaccines and both boosters. I have had covid twice, once before and once after. The one before vaccines put me down for 2 weeks, left me with breathing issues, gave me blood pressure issues, and left me with neuropathy of the hands. The one after was a mild head cold. I wouldn't have even known I had covid if I hadn't been required to be tested by my boss.
I personally didn't get the vaccination bc I was worried about the side effects with my heart. I had Covid once, it was pretty bad but my doctor gave me the antibody infusion and I almost immediately started recovering. I haven't caught it again since, even after being exposed several times. My children had Covid twice and showed absolutely no symptoms. That's just our experience with it though. I understand that many may have different health issues that push them to get vaccinated for protection.
Worst side effects I had was a migraine with the first one and a sore shoulder with the fourth one
I had side effects with every one, fever, chills, body aches, etc. Worth it though for the peace of mind.
I felt unwell the next day. I have been fine since.
500d
My family got covid really bad about a month or so before the vax was widely available to everyone. I felt that my natural immunity was enough and decided not to get it. Over a year later- I still support my decision.
The first two not so bad the booster felt like I had a cold for a few days and the chills but after that I was good
I didn't get one, but made sure to be extra cautious, vaccines are important but unfortunately Im not able to get one for reasons
501d
I got both of the Novavax injections and they were really good. No pain or sickness at all.
ive gotten the juice a few times and got my omicron boost recently... no major symptoms outside of arm hurty and a small fever
First time I ever gotten a COVID vaccine I had side effects the day after (fever, cough) but luckily it went away after 2 days. I have since gotten 4 vaccines (second dose, 1 booster, updated booster) and i have felt fine after those.
100% good. I have not had covid.
502d
Like gas masks lmao.
All talking about covid vaccines... I went back to work at the peak of it. In a hospital on a covid ward. We had to be tested to wear specific masks.
I got the first 2 and had a reaction to it. I got this rare skin disease where my body is attacking my hair follicles causing terrible pustules that scar. Took me a year to get it under control and it still comes back now and then. In january I got COVID. The rash flared even worse than when I got the shot. I dont regret getting it. I have severe lung disease. If i hasnt gotten those doses, I would have reacted even worse when I git covid and would have probably ended up in the hospital or dead. At least this way I was able to beat it. I knew from the start, I wasn't going to get out of this unsxathed
Got the first 2 shots before becoming chronically ill. I received my 1st booster shot after the onset of my illnesses... at the same time as a flu shot... WORST DECISION EVER oh lord it was so bad 😂😂😭 I crashed with bad PEM and all the symptoms. But, worth it because I was protected and now I need to get the new booster 🙏 Never had covid, despite multiple in-house cases 🤞
Went 2 years without covid, got the vaccine and contracted the virus twice in 11 months.
Yes this app is for 18 plus but I'm 13 but I have all my vaccines except for one buster
503d
I just feel super tired next day. Same way I feel like I need a shot I get…. ie flu shot. It was no big deal.
504d
I received the initial Pfizer shots but never went back for boosters. I didn’t get covid until this year. And when I had it, it felt like a really mild cold. I didn’t have any side effects at all. It was good for me. I also did a genesight test for my mental health medication interactions. Wondering if that or another medication interaction DNA test could help others make a more informed decision considering their own individual health and possible conditions.
i hadthe first 2 and a booster with no reactions at all
I have had 5 covid shots and haven’t gotten covid even though everyone I know has gotten it
Better then covid but did mess up my menstrual cycle for a few months
Far better than actual covid.
I worked in the emergency room throughout the pandemic. I got sick after getting the vaccine but after seeing what it does to people and what their loved ones go through, I thought and still think it’s worth it.
Never got the vaccine. I already had covid without even noticing it, and I don’t live anywhere near my grandparents and other family+ everyone in my household felt they didn’t need to get it or really trust it 100%. no one but me got covid in my household thank god
At first I was really against having it because of all the negative things I was hearing about it but I've since had 4 but my most recent one was 14th October and I had morderna B and I felt so rough I couldn't get up with out feeling soooo dizzy and nauseated so I was in bed all day and slept most of the day next day miraculous recovery! Definitely glad I had it so can't risk getting covid with heart disease and asthma 😷😟
530d
I was a first responder position for the COVID vaccines/first in line to get them due to me being a primary position (I worked as a Lifeguard), I remember the second and third boosters were hell to my system! But after that I think I can say I feel like I have more vaccines in me than water, haha.
I haven't had mine yet because I rarely leave my house, and when I do, I don't have time for a vaccine
531d
How sick they made me which sent me to the ER
I've never had the vaccine and I have never knowingly had covid. And I work in customer service.
532d
I got moderna. Felt somewhat tired and achy but not too bad, I’ve had wayyy worse pain from existing medical issues. The only weird thing I experienced was getting a huge baseball sized red welt on my arm where the needle went that lasted for about a week
I had my vaccs and my booster. The first one, I think I got sick- fever and chills. I feel like I was sore, but don't remember? The second shot all I could do was sleep for a couple days. I could barely move around the house even and was up only a few hours of the day it seemed like. The booster made my chronic pain flare up badly and made me feel like I had a really bad cold or a mild flu. Super sleepy again. Of course the vacc'd arm was very sore with all of them.
533d
I felt ok the day I got my phizer booster but I woke up in the early morning the next day with chills, a fever, and body aches. Later in the day I developed a headache and the fever and chills kept fluctuating. The arm was sore for a couple days. Now I'm ok but it was a trip!
Felt sick for a day with Pfizer and sore for a few, sick for like 3 days when I used Moderna as a booster with the flu vaccine in the same arm same day. Also had “covid arm” which was just an increased swelling muscle weakness and soreness in the injected arm; the new bi variant one I was just sick for a day and sore for a few. All sick day’s meant achey and feverish
Just stiff n tired
534d
With not knowing what is truly going on with my body at this time I opted to not get the vaccine. I did however catch COVID about 3 months ago. I had a super bad migraine for about 5 days, no appetite, my thighs hurt like no other, I wanted to sleep and couldn't get comfortable. Day 7 of symptoms I was in the backyard with my husband and ended up fainting and having a seizure. An ambulance rushed me to the ER where I was finally officially diagnosed with bradycardia. However they did not address my seizure once. The ER doctors and nurses kept brushing off that fact even though that's what concerned me the most about the whole episode.
I didn't take it. I didn't catch COVID. I don't really catch colds. I just get sick and suffer through my conditions when they want to annoy me, but I don't really catch stuff like that in my adulthood. And now that I make my own medicines, I really don't catch stuff. I'm blessed.
First dose: completely fine just sore arm for a couple days Second dose: 102.5 fever, pretty bad wide-spread muscle aches, headaches, pretty extreme chills, fatigue for about 3 days (took the rest of the week to finish recovering more though) Booster: Same side effects as the 2nd does but much more mild and only lasted one day Bivalent Booster: Same as the regular booster Overall, the 2nd dose was pretty bad. But I’d do it all again because I’d rather suffer for a short amount of time than be more likely to have severe Covid / long-Covid effects. And to help protect the people around me.
First time was like a headache in my arm. It was perfectly fine, just weird. Second time, I didn't feel a thing. Relax your muscles and it won't hurt.
538d
first time- felt nothing second time- woke up in the middle of the night to vomit, felt unwell for the next day, then felt perfectly fine after that third time- felt a bit unwell and feverish for a day and that’s it
539d
i’m not vaccinated
Me, my son, or mom will be taking them due to personal reasons
540d
I had two shots of AstraZeneca and both were terrible. During 24 hours I was in severe pain.
541d
Got my first two Moderna, no side effects, third Pfizer, lethargy, and fourth idk tbh but it made my arm sore as heck 🤗
542d
Got my 1st/2nd with Moderna. I had a high fever the day after (not hospital worthy) and I was ache-y for a few days. Then, I was fine. My dad had a slight fever, then was fine the next day. (Moderna) My mom got Johnson-Johnson and had no side effects. Both my parents got COVID about a year or so after their shots and their sickness was mild, though my mom has developed an aversion to dairy.
Got my first and second vaccine, Moderna. I had little to no side effects at all ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ just a little injection site tenderness
Had both shots plus 1 booster. Pfizer. No issues.
I was knocked out by my first shot lol but the second and booster were just fine!
It's absolutely fine. Just like getting the flu vaccine.
I was fine with the first with the second I was just really tired.
Never got one shot
543d
I had no issues
I passed out on the second shot. Scared the pharmacist that gave it to me LOL - luckily i brought a family member with me.
A mild sore arm for a couple days and felt tired for 1 day, that's it!
I almost passed out from my fear of needles.
546d
My mom is currently in the ICU due to the vaccine. I will not be taking it.
i had no problems!! i got my boosters too. only thing bad was i felt weak for a day and slept a bunch. next day i was fine.
2
There was one dose that really took me down but other than that I’ve been pretty much fine. Just got the new booster on Sunday and other than being a little shakey I was totally fine :)
I got a fever after each one but then I'd be fine the next day! I've had 4 shots so far 🙌
547d
i don’t remember how i felt after my initial 2, but my boosters have been fine
I got terribly sick with each shot ,but dr says that means it’s working.
549d
I've gotten 3 pfizer and it's been fine. I scheduled the next day off work each time so I could rest my arm and have a moment to "recover" but they really weren't much worse than the flu shot. Sure I had a small headache and felt a little bit tired the next day, but it genuinely could've been my chronic illnesses which make me feel tired and have headaches most days lol. 9.5/10 would recommend. Now I know I'm more protected and a bit less likely to get others sick. I'd much rather negligible discomfort on a lazy day than a week of sick days and the risk of DEATH for my disabled self or my older loved ones in the future. Plus I've seen a couple grocery stores offering discount coupons to anyone who gets the new booster. I'm planning on heading to Randall's tomorrow for mine and some grocery deals
One of the doses gave my symptoms, but they were mild in comparison to the actual disease itself that I had 2 years ago
They all made me really, really sick but I reckon they're worth it since I have awful anxiety around covid (and also am just now starting to realize I might be immunocomromised:/)
550d
Just.. exsisted I guess? I did everything happily and normally I felt no tiredness or pain :D
got all 3 pfizer shots, same as the other 4 members of my family. we all work and have school, none of us have gotten covid. my parents (in their mid 50s) both got pretty lethargic from the shots, but the rest of us were fine. even had 2 coworkers get covid, came back after a week, worked in close contact with them and i never had symptoms. i tested to be sure, never got it.
I had moderna for both shots and I got a full booster because I'm immunocompromised. I had a sore arm and was super tired the rest of that day and the next. I've been in very close contact (son and a few weeks later boyfriend) and never got it. The only difference was I had the full booster.
552d
Both shots and one booster. No side effects save for normal soreness at injection site and when my husband got Covid I did not. My husband also had the same vac as me, got them at the same time but he still got it so
I got em all. No side effects. No COVID.
553d
I was nervous of a reaction. I have now had the 2 original shots, a booster of original and just got the new booster. My allergist advised I stay 1 hour post injection to observe. No reactions other than soreness at injection site.
554d
I'm afraid of them. I'm not against them, but they're too new for me to trust them. I also didnt like how the government tried to force people to take them. Made it harder to trust their effectiveness and what is in them. My mom had mini strokes after each of her Maderna shots which didn't help my fears.
555d
I got two shots and a booster. I got covid but it was super mild.
556d
Then I got my shingles vaccine and just finished hep B vaccine and I got my 2nd Hep A vaccine on Friday ,then I'm all done .except I'm needing one more phirzer booster, but I'm kinda hesitant on getting. The last one which was 1st booster my arm had a big knot on it for a week and it. Was.Red and it really hurt .I think I had allergic reaction to it .so I dont know about getting second one for myself .
I've gotten both shots plus one booster phirzer vaccine. I ended up getting covid it was awful for the first 3 days I thought I was gonna die ,had high fever and chills . After breaking fever I was only experiencing body aches and head ache for about week .but I think it would have Alot worse for me if I didnt get vaccinated. Because I have a poor immune system ,kidney disease too. My Liver Dr.suggested me to get it .. They wouldn't let me get the Shilnguls vaccine until I got the covid vaccine. So finally I got the covid .
Beat the heck outta the virus. I've had COVID twice. You can bet I'm in no hurry to get it a third time. I got the vaccine three times, and actually chose to seek it out. I got more side-effects from tetanus and hepatitis vaccines than COVID. Meanwhile, I'm on this app in the first place due to chronic conditions that having COVID exacerbated to the point I haven't been able to hold a job.
😕 how do you get around not taking it???
It was alright
557d
I got both Pfizer shots and my booster. The only thing I experienced was a sore arm. Lucky I had no issues! My brother had Johnson&Johnson and was fine. My mom is menopausal and diabetic, she had Moderna, and she had some issues feeling sick and still goes through bouts of it. Doctors has confirmed it was the vaccine. Everyone responds to it differently!
@Jantrove my ex would spend the next two days saying she could barely move her arm and bedridden from fatigue. Meanwhile, I would at most have a bit of a flare-up with my chronic symptoms. Because I was so used to feeling awful in the first place, it was basically equivalent to a night of terrible sleep or an especially stressful week. Of course, I wasn't feeling well enough to wait on her hand and foot without extending the flare-up, so I got my third shot by myself so I wouldn't be in that position again. But I found it interesting how she'd wake up groaning and whining about how she was so tired and sore, I just felt a little worse than usual, and as she's trying to guilt-trip me into caring for her, I'd make her ramen or whatever, but by the second time, it came alongside comments heavily draped in caustic sarcasm, such as "I'm so sorry you will for two days have a small idea of what I've suffered on a daily basis since we first got this damn virus and you got better and I didn't. You sure you aren't in the mood? It's early in the day, you make so many comments about how you wish I'd put out in the mornings. Oh, your back hurts and you don't even want to be awake, much less horny? Wow, if only I could possibly understand how THAT felt." Ahem... Leftover passive-aggression from that toxic plane crash aside... I do find it kind of interesting that I don't know anyone personally who had as severe or prolonged a reaction to the virus itself (I know people who lost older parents to it, but out of my most immediate connections, I got it worst, cause it cranked underlying chronic illness into high gear and I still haven't recovered enough to work 2 years later,) but I also have a rather mild reaction to the vaccine compared to most folks I know. I've done Pfizer and I believe Moderna, it's been like getting a flu shot. Both times I've had COVID, I was worried for my life, and continued to suffer long after my fever broke.
I have Hashimoto's and for all 3 shots, I was sick for 2 weeks straight. My regular symptoms just got more severe: fatigue, headaches, cold/hot intolerance, brain fog, etc.
It's been bumpy every time, symptoms like the flu for a day or two (or three...) but I still view it as worth it. I had COVID in May but it was just like a bad cold, I don't want to guess if I hadn't been vaccinated...
558d
I reacted badly - fevers, bad body pains, nausea, worsening of my chronic illness symptoms for a few days. But after a few days, that all died down
I got Pfizer, and my arm was just pretty sore for like 2 days. When I got what I'm assuming is COVID (some of my siblings tested positive, I never got my results back lol), it was almost the WORST sickness and pain I've been in, in a long time. My body aches literally left me crying and praying to God 😭 it was the worst. And I hadn't gotten my boosters then, which really sucked. I'd rather have vaccine soreness for a few days than another 6 hrs of my symptoms, by a long shot.
559d
I've had Moderna all 4 times. I have had side effects from all shots, for about 3 days. I have crushing joint pain, a migraine that won't die, low grade fever, and nausea with all 4 of them. Not fun, but I'd much rather deal with 12 days of feeling like trash than covid/post covid syndrome. I don't need any new dxes. Lol
3
@Magpie42 I got about 12 days of oscillating between "this is a weird cold" and "is this how I'll die" both times I got COVID, and since my first time (March 2020,) I've been unable to hold a job and in the hospital every month or so from a cascade of mysterious debilitating chronic symptoms. It's like my entire neurological system went completely haywire and refused to recover. If the vaccine had been available before I got sick the first time, I would regret not having gotten it before I got sick. It wasn't. So, less regret to be had, and now I can live as an example to encourage my friends to get vaccinated. Pretty sure I've even heard "man, I hate shots, I never get the flu shot or anything, but I'm gonna get my COVID shot and boosters cause, no offense and all, but I don't wanna end up like you." I'll just look back and say "none taken, I don't especially wanna be this way myself, I wouldn't wish it on anyone else. If seeing me cry in the mornings from back and neck pain or hearing how difficult it is to afford the cost of living when I can't work and doctors don't even know why is what it takes for you to get vaccinated, I'm happy to be able to provide an example for ya. Just go get that shot now before someone breathes on you."
The vaccine was completely fine for me! My arm hurt for a long time after probably like a bit more than 3-5days compared to most people telling me it'd take 2 for the soreness to go. I'm glad I got it overall to help the immunocompromised and people who actually can't, even if it was a bit late. Can't wait for my booster soon enough.
I had no issues with the vaccine. When I got sick with COVID my jaw joints hurt so badly.
578d
I never got any of them and I've never gotten covid, my 17 year old son had to get it just to play football and now he has myocarditis and can't play anymore, it weakened his heart muscles
@AnxietyGirl79 I'm sorry to hear about your kid's reaction. I can only imagine how his heart might have handled the actual virus; if it's any comfort for your situation, at least the vaccine gimps the effects of COVID itself should he be exposed. Since getting COVID a second time, I come very close to blacking out when I try to have a bowel movement. I've never had much interest in playing football, but I don't think I'd be able to go through much of the martial arts training I did 5x/week when I was his age now that my blood pressure will dramatically drop from going to the bathroom or straining to lift something heavy. I've read pericarditis is a common complication of several autoimmune conditions for which I'm being evaluated, that's a likely reason for the chest pains I'll get sometimes when I exercise. COVID is now known to both directly and indirectly damage the lungs, heart, and brain, so whether my dysautonomia and other BP/BPM issues are related more to my cardiovascular system or my neurological one remains to be seen. In no way do I intend to minimize what happened with your kid. It sucks that this happened to him at all. I just feel like if I were a parent and saw that happen to my kid, and was reading so much news and so many stories of what this virus has done to young, otherwise able-bodied people, my first thought would probably be something like "thank the old gods and the new that he found this out through the pieces of virus in the vaccine and not from the virus itself at full strength. Maybe his high school football dreams are over, but he's still alive to tell me how frustrated he is by that. I'm more confident he's gonna make it to graduation than I would be if I were one of those dads watching their kid get hooked to a ventilator. It sucks, but I'm grateful it doesn't suck worse." One of the reasons COVID is scary is because it's a crapshoot on how badly it impacts people. I've known folks twice my age with worse health to start who said it was like a bad cold and had no after-effects save for maybe worse seasonal allergies. I've also watched myself lose over 25lbs, wake up every morning with back pain so bad I can hardly breathe, suffer headaches so intense they take away my vision, and email my GP with "hey, should I worry that I've almost passed out on the toilet 3 times this weekend?" I'll advocate for the COVID vaccine until the day I die because I was young (26) and generally quite healthy, and now I get to sit in the waiting room for MRIs with a bunch of folks twice my age all looking at me like I'm there to cause shenanigans, not get images done of my spine, because nobody who looks as young as me should have a body which acts as old as mine now does. It's a virus which can barely touch an older married couple yet leave their son disabled, or it can feel like a bad cold to a gal a couple years shy of 30, but send her across the country to settle the affairs of her elderly parents whose lungs couldn't handle the damage caused by the disease. The above examples are myself and my college roommate, respectively. It's impossible to really predict, so I just recommend the vaccine to everybody I know. I don't want to see anybody else end up like me.
I got Pfizer vaccine due to a job I really wanted it had less side effects than the others the worst I had to deal with was being really tired for a few days
I have yet to be vaccinated and I was thinking of getting the j&j because my fiance did, however I recently learned that it is more dangerous for women than it is for men. Not massively more dangerous, however from the studies I've read (and I've read a LOT because I hyper focused on it) 15 women have been admitted to the hospital within 1-3 days of getting the j&j and 3 have died from blood clots. And with how unlucky I am I would probably end up being another woman to have to be hospitalized because of this. Obviously with that low of a number compared to the thousands of women that have taken the vaccine it's of very low probability, however as I mentioned before, I believe I am just unlucky enough for it to happen to me.
I did okay with all three shots. Mainly pain at the injection site. I recommend to start drinking pedialyte the night before, and drink a whole liter over the course of a couple of days. I also recommend to take Tylenol for injection site pain and flu like symptoms.
579d
I had pain in my heart for a couple days.
580d
because of preexisting conditions, im often extremely allergic to vaccines- and unfortunately the covid one was the same. after a severe allergic reaction to the first shot- we waited 6 months and i was very fortunate to be able to be monitored by allergists for all of my vaccines that point forward- fully vaccinated now and getting boosters :)
581d
I work in the health field. I have personally seen some nasty side effects for some. One of the worst was paralysis on one side of the body directly related to the vaccine. I don't understand why no serious side effects has been openly reported to the public. I have refused the vaccine due to current and past health problems. My body cannot even tolerate the flu vaccine. I have been exposed to the virus steadily for 3 years and not sick one day. I get tested twice a week and always negative. I don't oppose the vaccine but I do believe people need to be cautious as there have been some severe side effects for some otherwise healthy individuals.
The vaccine was no biggie to me compared to the virus itself, which triggered a chain reaction which eventually cost me my employment, many relationships, and eventually a permanent address. I'll get each new vaccine to come my way if it means I don't get COVID for what would now be a third time, or reduces the severity if I do.
Partially vaccinated, I don’t wanna blame the vaccine but I started to catch viruses & infections after getting the first dose. It was very unusual for me to get sick like that so I didn’t want to risk a severe reaction to get the second dose . It did protect me from catching Covid but that didn’t last long, I caught it for the first time this year. I’ll probably get vaccinated again once Im stronger.
@Citla my aunt was the same way, she never gets sick and after her first vaccine she gets sick if someone sneezes near her, she refuses to get any of the others
I did because I work with toddlers who have disabilities.
Honestly I can't see myself getting this vaccine knowing it came out in such a short time if the " haven't " came out with a cure for us diabetes " yet "
Got covis a few months ago and it was so mild. I had 2 Phizer vaccines in 2021
I got pretty sick, which is normal so I expected it. it was especially hard with already having pots prior to covid ever even existing. pots is now a frequent result of long covid, so its pretty self-explanatory that I would have a hard time if I contracted it!
582d
I've had 2 im going to get the boaters as well they make me moodey sore and tierd thou at first it dusnt hurt which helps I have this thing with nedlies where I can feel them moving through each lare of skin and stuff but that one is one I can't fill till after words
A health insurance I was with forced me to get it. It's extremely painful and I couldn't even move my arm for almost a week afterward.
586d
i haven’t gotten the vaccine yet but i did get covid it was so awful so so awful, ive never been more sick. I was out for 2 and a half weeks before I could even get out of bed. It was so just awful. It was scary too because at times I couldn’t breathe.
I got it last year but honestly I don’t think it works because I’m sure I’ve gotten the virus since then
589d
My problem with the shot is I breakout with a rash, couldn't breathe, I now have Inflammation of the spine, Can no longer get vitamin B shots or the flu shot, Keeping recurring bladder infections. My dr said it is a result of the shot.
I could barely use my arm for a week and it hurt. I can't remember if it was after the first or second one though. I know it wasn't both though, wasn't the third either.
590d
painful. i hate needles. but i had my mom there to support me. im glad masks arent a rule in most places but still is in hospitals.
593d
got a covid shot, then 5 hours later i got my blood drawn. not wise, let me tell you. i didnt get covid, but i did sleep for 20 hours.
I just felt really worn out for a couple days and then I was fine, my mom had a worse reaction but even then it only lasted about a day.
Like any other shot
It was nothing more than a flu shot for me. Little tierd. Maybe slightly sore but nothing more
I refuse to take it. So idk. I haven't been sick with it. Been tested alot and have never had it. Thank God.
@anott2001 do you mind if I ask why you don’t want to? I don’t wanna force you or anything I’m just genuinely curious
I had a bad experience. For about 2 days i felt like my skin was trying to crawl off my body. But i mostly slept through it and actually requested days off from work for the second shot.. which didn't really faze me.
I got vaccinated early 2020? I think. Boosted late 2021. Just recently got COVID for the first time, it's not nearly as bad as I expected. Will be getting a booster with my flu shot.
I took one shot Johnson and Johnson because my company paid me to do so and still ended up getting COVID so I passed on the others. Pretty much had all the side effects from sore throat to pressure in my face and the body pain all at different times. But I have fibromyalgia so may be different for us
@Chadwick108 it doesn’t prevent you from getting it, it just lessens the chance and the side effects if you do get it
@Chadwick108 Also lost taste and smell and my smell still hit or miss some days from last year
I felt like I had the flu for days after each dose. I developed a caffeine sensitivity from it, so now I can’t have caffeine other than soda. It makes my heart rate high and I get anxious. It also made my anxiety much worse and gave me heart symptoms (high heart rate, palpitations, and pain) that’s now better with a medication. My cardiologist said that it probably triggered an immune response. I’m not getting the boosters.
I’m definitely glad I got the two doses bc I haven’t had it yet (knock on wood) but they both made me sick the day after
My uncle died from the second shot. My aunt possibly when she was found she was alone and it had been awhile so no way to tell what exactly the cause was with her.
@ma13 were they really old/immunocompromised? If they were at risk to potentially have the vaccine side effects do that to them, they should’ve either been watched at the hospital or not been allowed to take the shot at all.
@Kungpaobeef yeah that sounds like negligence on the pharmacy’s part of whoever gave them the shots
594d
First dose flared up my disorder (PANDAS) so I had to get a medical exemption to avoid getting the rest of them 🙃
595d
first one gave me a terrible fever and shakes for one night, then nothing. the booster didn't give me any side effects.
got both vaxxes and ill be getting the next one soon. felt perfectly fine afterwards, didn't even feel sick like most people do.
Caused me to have brain inflammation, doctors found graphine oxide in my blood from it which was lacking my blood from oxygen. I regret getting it
I have had all my covid vaccines and booster, and am a nurse working in healthcare where I am exposed to all kinds of patients - some of which are even covid positive. The worst symptoms I had from covid vaccines were being fatigued the day of the vaccinations, and a sore arm. I have not had covid so far, so I feel like the vaccines have worked, and since I have medically fragile family members I even moreso do not want to end up being sick and sharing it with someone else. There are a lot of untrue things circulating about covid vaccines and medications used to treat covid, and some of them are crazy. All I will say is please check your sources for information well and avoid anything that's not a peer-reviewed source (medical journals) or your healthcare provider. I definitely recommend asking your doctor or nurse practitioner about whether they recommend for you to be vaccinated and talk to them about any concerns you have about vaccination.
@AmaryllisRose thank you for all you do. I know our nurses and doctors were put through hell for almost a couple of years.
596d
I think it actually made my pots worse, I could have also gotten COVID at some point and that could be what did it. My heart rate significantly increased after each dosage, the first one being the worst
I have pre existing conditions (that I didn't lost on my profile for privacy reasons) that would most likely kill me or put me in icu for a while if I got vaccinated :( please get vaccinated if you can.
With my initial two doses I had absolutely no symptoms. My booster gave me mild symptoms (muscle weakness/soreness, chills…). Going to get a second booster on Friday!
597d
I got it, my arm hurt for a bit and then it was just like any other vaccine
My arm was hurting after the first one second shot was ok. Lost taste and smell, had really bad headaches. Still no taste or smell and I’ve had Covid 3 times and had pneumonia for 21/2 months. And my immune system is down. Wish I’d never got the shot. I will not get a booster.
@Monkeyella that just sounds like an unfortunate coincidence
My sister experienced many issues immediately following her vaccination, as a result I decided not to get it. Considering I had it when it first arrived in the states (1/20) and my antibody count tests high I do not find my risk of contracting it or spreading it high enough to risk permanent damage to my body like she has been experiencing. None around me save for her have gotten it and none have been sick. 🤷🏻♀️
I have been getting migraines on and off ever since I got my second vaccine
I was fine from my first does but my second does I didn’t feel good after it
I didn't have any issues
598d
I got 1&2 and then had to wait for the 3 cuz I had Covid it wasn't any fun would not recommend lol
I know few people Very sick after getting never recovered , humans are the 1st to ever take anything like this .. wait for years to come .. good luck to all
My family experienced no problems. When I got covid it was mild. My sister and her husband didn't get the vax. When they got covid they had to go to the hospital.
@JanL that's interesting. My sister got it and had to go to the hospital when she had covid. I haven't gotten it and I was mildly sick for 2 days when I had it. 🤔 humans are so interesting
My entire family got the Pfizer vaccine. I was sick for 3 days after each shot, and like a week after I had hella swelling and dead arm. Then I caught covid and was sick as a dog for a week but my kid was locked in the house with me and my also sick husband, he never caught it.
No vaccine, have had it and isolated like a reasonable person. No plans to get one. Not against it, just don't really feel it necessary for me. I don't go places because of my disabilities. It was brought to me by a family member. The body should learn how to fight threats. If you're worried, get a vax. It's up to you.
Mother had a stroke after both maderna shots and still got severely infected with COVID 3 times. I'm not vaccinated, had COVID mildly once.
@Lin92 She had 2 separate strokes; 1 after each dose, and she still got COVID, severely, 3 different times.
I got lucky-no symptoms on shot one, one day of feeling “more hot than usual” on the second dose. Booster dose (shot 3) o felt sick for a couple days, but was fine.
the first dose was fine. the second dose made me extremely sick with fever, chills, shivering, exhaustion, loss of appetite, and full body pain, but i felt better within two days! i think i made the right choice by getting it
613d
I didn't have any side-effects
614d
Both me my Daughter and Mom and dad got them and had no complications at all to them
It's saving my life I have covid rn
I didn't have any recommendations to any of the ones that I had.
i was able to get it early since i lived with a hospital worker and am disabled and i didn’t feel any symptoms until a week later, i felt SUPER sick (i think a fever broke) and i got sent home from work. the second shot had zero symptoms. I’m planning on getting my booster soon
617d
I didn’t get the shot because having it the first time was an absolute nightmare and I wasn’t going to voluntarily inject more into my body after that. BUT, since just having Covid, I’ve realized the inflammation in my body is way worse than in my life. I had a neck injury in 2015 and I’ve been able to deal with it without major issues. But since I got covid, I can’t do any activities because my neck will swell up. I haven’t had a good nights sleep in, I can’t even remember how long. It sux so bad!!
I slept for like 36 hours after every single one but I didn't really have any symptoms besides being dead tired. Plus I love doing my part to ease the pandemic (and a lot of my anxiety around covid)
The symptoms sucked 🤷🏾♀️
Had all mine. The last made me sick for a few days, but not get COVID.
Had no side effects
My mom had 2 strokes and she still got it twice, and the second time was way worse than the first
618d
All 3 of mine seemed to effect me the same way each time. I got the shot in the afternoon, would start to get a sore arm and headache by bedtime, would wake up feeling sore, fatigue, headache… felt like that for 24-72 hours and then fine again. I never was at a point where I couldn’t function or go do normal things the next day
First one was pretty easy for me, just felt a bit off. The second one was bad. My knuckles hurt so bad they locked up, and I ended up sleeping for the entire day after, but it mostly went away after that. A couple days later I was back to normal. The booster was exactly like the first dose. I’d say that one day of being miserable was worth it for me.
@rj.crow After I got covid, my knuckles in my left hand now get very stiff and sore. Never happened before.
I've had 3 doses. First one made me WAY more fatigued than I normally am. Also noticed my stomach was a little off for up to 2 weeks every time. For someone who has bad health anxiety (somatic symptom disorder), it was difficult, but I was much more scared of COVID.
I’ve gotten 3 shots so far and with my laundry list of illnesses I didn’t need to add the risk of getting COVID. I didn’t have any problems. I would get a shot every day than have to go to the hospital and get a tube down my throat
My sister died from it...The neurologist that saw her .said she never should have had it to begin with. Because she had a compromised immune system and other illnesses. We have vax injuries all through our family.So.i knew I wasn't going to get it! the're more and more people that are finding it has caused extreme health issues or death! I taljed to her every day..n each day she felt worse! So of course they vented her! She survived 30 days.. I had Covid. Extremely bad case..of course!..I have diabetes , Fibro & asthma, So it just ravished my body! It literally was 2 months of hell!! My Dr sat with me for 3hrs @ her office..n gave me treatments & watched my o2 levels. She wanted to admit .me..but I refused! Because..I knewb I'd be vented..n less than 2% make it after vented...I learned so much the hard way!!😢😢
@BeeBee67 I’m sooo sorry!
626d
I didn't get one. No regrets.
Both times I had to go for the shot, the day before I felt better I literally thought I was dieing. I felt terrible. And despite everything, I've had cocod twice
I got vaccinated for work and took the shot twice. I felt a little light-headed but other than that it went fine. I got covid a couple months after that and it landed me in the hospital because I collapsed in the shower. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with the vaccine, but I don't think it is doing what it's supposed to.
Taken two doses. Didn't feel much. Just went amongst my day.
I honestly don't recall my shots well. That means it wasn't bad. I've had everything, including at least 1 booster. I've had a LOT going on the last 2 years, so forgive my swiss cheese memory... I JUST got a booster on Wednesday (it's now Sunday). My arm developed a fairly large raised red area on Thursday. It was sort of hard to the touch, hot, and quite sore. Yesterday it was itchy. Today, everything is much better. All of the symptoms have reduced to the point of not really being worth mentioning. My husband gets knocked on his butt for about a day, feeling overall crappy, then is fine. He's not had the most recent booster yet. My kids--5yo--didn't have much reaction either, save for telling the entire store how pissed they were via screams. 😆
1st shot - sore arm the next day and some achiness. 2nd shot - exhausted, severe aches and pains and a bad headache for a day Booster - no reaction at all Happy to be protected and protect those around me. Worth the day of symptoms.
631d
Other than a bad headache once and a sore shoulder with the 4th shot, no I'll effects.
All three shots! No ill effects! My 94 year old grandmother is fine after. Honestly I can't say enough about antivax with thier 200 year old logic. It's not a new idea. It's worth the hassle to think of at risk groups, and take one for the team Earth! Think of the history books! Arnold Schwarzenegger, Matt Damon, and The Rock got it and are pushing for everyone to get it. Matt has a 160 iq so I'm going with Jason Bourne, The Rock, and The Terminator. Sorry for the ranting but I have strong opinions... BTW Matt Damon is pissed about the stupid negligence of antivax. Do what the actual doctors say, not Facebook experts...
i got moderna. and my first shot-if i remember-was the worst one. i felt dizzy for a bit and i was also super sleepy. the second one wasn’t near as bad. i only experienced sleepiness (as well as a heart-shaped spot from the shot on my left arm that lasted a few days!).
633d
I got the 2 vaccines and the booster, and still got covid, I guess it varies on the person
Godsend - had my second booster about 4 months ago, and feel it was so worth it. I did struggle with some fatigue the day after (on all 4 occasions) but would do it all over again. Everyone in my immediate family has gotten covid, and although I have never tested positive, I am glad I know I have the extra protection for when I go get in contact with COVID 🙌
Sounds like CAEBV
I drank a ton of water the day before and a ton of water the day of and I didn't have any side effects. Same for the 2nd shot. I never have had covid so it must be working!
641d
The second dose left me so sick I basically slept through three days with fever dreams and could barely leave bed for a week after that. I think that's when my fibromyalgia really started to flare up too. It runs in the family, but I'd never had trouble with it until then and it's been a big problem since.
@PinkPsyduck I have same issue after getting Covid. I didn’t get the shot. Ever since I’ve had Covid, my life has changed. I don’t really do much anymore because I either feel a lil sick-ish or my body is inflamed. Neck mostly. It sux
The first vaccine left me feeling like I had a mild cold for a while the day I had it, but didn't last long. The second vaccine landed me hard on the couch with awful symptoms (chills, sweats, shakes, body ache, and fever). But those were both Moderna. My husband read that the Pfizer vaccine didn't give as severe side effects for some people, and I should try it since the CDC said mixing vaccines might be useful. My first two boosters have been Pfizer (one in the fall, one a couple months ago), and I had very mild cold symptoms and fatigue with those. But I will switch it back to the Moderna vaccine when/if I qualify for a third booster.
😥 The vaccine caused horrible swelling, paralyzed my entire left side (from neck to toes) for 2 months and has caused lasting extreme hip and back pain for the last year and 1/2. Never again!
@BinoVert I'm so sorry.
642d
I always have a REALLY bad reaction to any vaccine I get. with that said I've got all 4 covid vaccines and had a really small site reaction. thats all. in my opinion very worth it.
643d
I got my 2 shots first one was alright I was dizzy but my 2nd hit me like a freight train I was out of work the next day I was nauseous and dizzy
@CaRista when I had Covid, I was extremely nauseous and dizzy. Haven’t been the same since.
I got 2 shots, got a rash, headache and major fatigue, plus just an overwhelming "sick" feeling. Few months later got COVID after being vaccinated and it hit me harder than anyone in my house who were all unvaccinated.
Not getting it. From what I've seen it doesn't even prevent COVID, and it can give you other health problems. Plus I've already got COVID and it wasn't that bad.
I didn't have any reaction to mine other than a little pain.
647d
Got my second booster about 5 months ago and I’m really glad I did. Because of my conditions I’m at higher risk for severe symptoms; unfortunately the day after the shots I felt very very fatigued and muscle pains but glad I did it. Especially with the newer more contagious and harmful variants going around this summer I’m grateful I had access to it. I’ve been in and out of hospitals so I wouldn’t trade having the vaccine for anything, knowing I have that extra protection in hospitals that treat COVID patients helps so much. Also comforting knowing I’m doing all I can to protect myself and others - still wearing n95s and distancing from others, would deal with the side effects again if it means I don’t have to get severe COVID
@Officialishness Also reminder COVID vaccines (and all other vaccines) do NOT stop you from contracting the virus. It helps your body fight it off and helps reduce risks of major/long term symptoms.
I got Covid twice and I’m vaccinated 😩
651d
I had my first shot 4/2021, second 5/2021, booster 11/2021. I was sick for six days with the first, ten days with the second, and literally two months with the booster. I won't take anymore.
640d
@BratCat I, too, was I'll for several months following the booster shot. What symptoms did you have?
This is my personal opinion.... It's not a "vaccine" or you wouldn't get Covid after the shot. It's experimental. You don't know it's long term effects. There were no blind studies. I've had Covid twice. It sucked but now my body has natural immunities.
@Weets unfortunately no vaccine can prevent you from contracting the virus or any other illness. Even with HPV, flu, and phenomena vaccines (and all other vaccines) you still can and probably will contract the illness, however vaccines help your body better fight it off and helps prevents long term symptoms. It is always important to reduce risk even when vaccinated for anything because you can never fully know your bodies reaction to a disease until you get it. Hope that helps 💕
Both times just made me really tired and passed out and slept for hours. Other than that I felt great!
652d
I got the vaccine BUT I still got covid even while wearing masks.. it's only gonna protect ya from a singular strand of covid and there are several.
653d
I got very sick for my first dose, I had Moderna, but every other dose had little to no side effects
I have had 3 Moderna shots. I was down for several days with all of them. Intense body aches, headaches, nausea, chills. After the 1st, I just made sure to take a couple of days off after for the 2nd and booster. I feel like my discomfort was worth it to protect both myself and loved ones. The new variant has me pretty freaked bc it seems to be immune to the vax. But, fwiw, I got the vax.
It made me sick two out of three times but hopefully I’m protected.
Two vaccines and a booster. Got COVID much more milder than expected. I got "COVID arm" with the first vaccine but otherwise, no problems. I'm so grateful I got them, I could have gotten deathly ill with COVID if I wasn't vaccinated prior.
654d
I had covid in late 2020, and it was bad so as soon as I could I got the Pfizer 2-dose vaccine. Both the 1st and 2nd shots hit me hard. Later when I got the booster I was completely fine, not even sore!
The only side effect I got from it was exhaustion but after a day it went away and I went back to life as usual. My arm was sore but you’re supposed to keep moving the arm you got the shot in and it helps the pain ease.
I've had all of them and I feel just fine. Does it work I don't know. But I don't regret having them.
655d
I regret getting the vaccine after getting it I have had long term side effects that are to say the least extremely unpleasant.
@stitchtastic what side effects did you have. I'm still dealing with some following my booster shot
659d
first one had me shaking with a bad fever all night, other 2 didnt do anything to me
660d
The first shot made my arm sore AF my husband and I got the Moderna, the second 1 made our arms just as sore, then made us sick Af but so far we haven't gotten Covid (knock on wood) even tho we've had friends and family that have gotten Covid also recently our dr has had covid for the second time so idk how well the vaccine works but I know uts worked for us thus far
My neibors throat started bleeding from the shot and my cousin died from it so I do know what it's like
Honestly I never got the shot an never caught covid, just kept my vitamin levels up especially d and the other one... FEEL GREAT. would do it all over again
I died from it an haven't recovered but I would deff do it all over again
I was achy and fatigued after my second shot but I do feel better having it. My partner is also immunocompromised so it gives me peace of mind knowing we are both fully vaxed. We can go to the grocery store, go to the park, or see loved ones without so much anxiety.
I'm extremely immune compromised. The vaccine gave me some peace of mind instead of being the nervous reck I was before. And even though it doesn't stop you from getting it can stop you from getting really sick or dieing.
Don't believe in it nor trust it
661d
Didn't take one due to my previous reactions to vaccines. I did get COVID last August and the fatigue was something I wasn't prepared for. Otherwise felt like I had a serious sinus infection with a weird cough. Husband got it the same time and his biggest issue was high temperatures.
First shot was ok. The second had me lit up with pain, nausea and dizziness. It passed after a day. I was still in pain but not as bad as the day before. Booster shot no problems.
Have gotten the J&J and a booster. Both made me feel like crap the next day but I can go to work and feel safer and not get tested as often. I sometimes worry about long term after effects but I value being able to go do things in the moment more? So far I haven't had any additional symptoms or anything though so I feel lucky.
Had a horrible reaction to it. Haven't been the same since. Got CoVid anyway
@anomaly well it’s not a cure. It’s just a preventative measure to make sure that you don’t get the full effects of Covid. Like to the point where you have to go to the hospital and be hooked up to ventilators. Its meant to ease the symptoms in case you do get it.
662d
**important extra note, still have not caught COVID.
I got Moderna and it WRECKED me. Haha still support getting vaccines, would still do it again. Just bad body reaction. I suffer from chronic pain due to musculoskeletal issues -- the side effects simply kick that into hyperdrive. In addition: • 1st shot: fine for 8 hrs. Then arm pain started at injection, spread to an inability to lift my arm due to pain --gone in 3days. Fever after 8 hrs, lasted 4 hrs. Fatigue lasted 3 days. • 2nd shot: arm pain after 3 hrs, lasted 1 day; fever and chills not till 15hrs after, lasted 4 hrs but came back in waves for the next 3 days; fatigue 2days. The musculoskeletal flare ups lasted about 2 wks each time. This is normal for me, though, if I were to, say, have a fever or not take care of my pain and participate in hard sports. Ie Regular muscle ache vaccine symptom, continuation is just a biproduct of my chronic pain.
No problems with the vaccines aside from a sore arm. The booster made me so sick for 2 days. But no long term affects.
I never did flu vaccines but when covid came out i went and got both flu and covid.i might have been more ill from the flu shot.
I had it and felt like I was going to die
@Renall least you didnt cuz it wasnt as bad as the real covid. 😥
the first shot wasn’t that bad but the second one put me through hell. still decided to get boosted anyways & surprisingly the booster wasn’t bad at all.
i got my first two, second made me a little sick for a day and my arm was sore but other than that it was all good!🤗
Needles don't bother me. I used to donate plasma so I had a lot of practice. And once I got both shots I was told they work. Well if they work why did I get it three different times?
663d
wasn't bad! second shot kicked ny ass the most i felt feverish and unwell but i was also recovering from surgery at the same time so that could explain it. my booster i also had a fever when i woke up in the middle of the night but when i fell back asleep and woke up again i was fine :)
I didnt have anything other than a headache, honestly the shingles vaccine was much worse. My husband had covid, i will take the headache over covid
The first I had no issues Second shot I was very cold and fatigued, as well as had some backache and emotional outbursts that I correlated to some of the studies I've seen that it can affect afab peoples hormones Third shot....let's just say it was worth it to get boosted but the 12 hours I had to deal with afterwards were literal hell. No matter what I did I could not get warm, my teeth were constantly chattering and my body was shaking uncontrollably. Even a heater and blankets didn't help and I ended up crying in bed over the sheer frustration of what was happening to me. For reference, I have Raynauds and can't stand anything below 60°F, my cold intolerance is super low. Eventually, it was so bad I couldn't sleep so I stayed up and distracted myself watching the new Witcher season at the time. I'm lowkey worried what will happen if I have to get a fourth boost/shot but I also don't want to get covid, not just because I've heard of the Long Covid issues, but also because my family is immunocompromised and I don't want to accidentally spread it to anyone else :( I plan to talk to my doctor before I get another dose, if I have to get another dose
It's saved me absolutely none, I've gotten covid 4 times since i got the vaccine.
Got the vaccine Pfizer and still got covid. Vaccine was painful at site an hurt for about a year. But was only drozzy for a day after.
POPS GOT MODERNA AND DIED. 😥
664d
I had pain at the site of injection and a swollen lymph node in my armpit on the same arm after the pfizer booster shot, also just alot of fatigue but ig that's common
I got completely vaccinated and then got covid. Not fun.
667d
I was already planning to get the vaccine when I first moved down to Texas and my ex boyfriend family forced me to get it or they were going to kick me out of their house while I was visiting him??? Let me know if you want to listen to the whole story cause I dont want to make a long paragraph then I already did
I got VERY sick for both of them. So much so that it took a week to recover, idk if anyone else experienced this either. Please do get your vaccine, just because mine didn't go well doesn't mean yours will too
I'm grateful I'm vaccinated. I did get covid and was fairly sick. I believe the vaccine is the reason why I was not hospitalized.
Couldn’t lift or lean on my arm for a couple days, sometimes felt tired or ill.
No problems with either shot. Have not received a booster- everyone I know who has had a booster has since come down with covid. I have not.
Extreme pain and swelling on my arm, then sick as shit the next, better the day after that 😒 i was upset about being sick more than the pain.
@ChemicalX I got sick for 3 days! And the soreness was the worst😥
668d
It was okay, especially after dealing with the Avonex shots
I have lupus but I didn't know at the time of the vaccines and I was sick for a month and had swelling and pain in my arm for about 3 months after both shots
674d
This appears to be an old post. I didn't take any of them. I won't be taking any either. After all of the information that has come out and what's in them, to the tons of issues and deaths reported. I'll take the cold again. I am eat up with auto issues. I've had the cold twice. Made it through just fine. I'm glad others haven't had as bad of a time other than sore arms, fevers, headaches. But I feel so bad for the ones that went to the hospitals & never left. I pray things never happen like this again. Yet something tells me. It will.
And I don’t believe Covid is real
I don’t like the idea of someone putting something in my body and I don’t know what it is
i didn’t like being forced into it, but didn’t really think it would hurt me in any way. a few days later, i find a lump in my neck on the side it was administered into. ended up having swollen lymph nodes, which has been commonly reported with the covid shot apparently. however, it scared me when my doctor began talking about leukemia and other things before we did tests. tests came back, those were crossed out. now ive got to do more tests to make sure it’s just swollen lymph nodes.
@nora.notes.84 I went through the same thing. The pharmaceutical companies and the government should pay our medical bills for forcing us to get this poison. I still have swollen lymph nodes in the later
I got my first two doses but haven’t gotten my booster… and I’m wondering if it’s worth it at this point? I have been exposed to COVID 2+ times since being fully immunized and I haven’t gotten it (both times were family members who got COVID and live in the same house with me) so does it make sense I get the booster when I know more people who have gotten the booster and then have since gotten COVID, or do I just stay where I’m at with my initial 2 shots??
675d
I mean, I've gotten the shot and for 4 days I was weak and very lethargic, but after that I was fine. I've been vaccinated for almost a year, and even though I know I'm not immune to it, I'm protecting people who haven't had it yet. I am around someone that has a very bad immune system. So if they were to get it, it would kill them. So im doing my part and protecting them.
#1 i think i would be dead i had not vaccinated. I lucked out with the earlier variants. My husband caught covid in Dec 2020 and had 3 very long and serious visits to the ER. The latter one resulting in ER for almost a day before being stable enough to be admitted. Then just as contemplating ventilator, he started getting better. Problem is they sent him home. And i had to take care of him and not catch it myself. Somehow i didnt catch it. Then vaccines cane out and i got that as soon as i could. 2 Moderna early 2021. No significant reaction even though i had a significant reaction to stand tetanus booser just 2 months earlier. Booster feb 2022. Caught newest variant in Mid May 2022. Hit hard with mid respiratory (esophagus sore for a month). And first time since chemo 20 years ago, i had a fever (102); didnt even havexa fever with appenditis 7 years ago. Any way, i really dont think i would have made it through this covid episode without the vaccine. Went from slight cold, to major croup, phlegm clogging airway, burning at bottom of lungs, temp went from 97 to 102 in a couple hours, etc. Only thing is that we took the last booster with the flu vaccine at the same time. That was too much for both of our systems. Won't double up vaccines again.
I had to take it for school. I dont mind it to much since most of the vaccine is stuff that's already in the body and the dose is so low it has to be boosted so much. I havent had any more because the second one gave me the worst headache I've ever had and I couldnt move for a few days because of it. I haven't gotten covid yet though thank God.
As someone who is terrified of needles, I am so so so glad I got it. I'm immunocompromised, so when I did get covid, it hit me hard and left me wiped out on my partners couch for a couple days, barely conscious. Being vaccinated then likely saved my life.
I had no issues with shots 1 & 2 but 3(booster#1) was horrible. I was out of commission for 4dys. I've had covid 3x and hospitalized for a week only once in 2020. Also have taken the covid pill. So if my doc recommends a fourth shot/2nd booster then I'd get it.
I didn't and hadn't taken the COVID test because it will trigger my seizure and I don't need that to happen... it has been 4 years and a month since I had one and I just got my license back.
My family had COVID in May and those who'd gotten the vaccine previously were actually much sicker than those who were not vaccinated.
Horrid side effects! Highly allergic to moderna resulting in anaphylactic shock. And awful side effects from Johnson and Johnson including fever, nausea, and nerve pain so severe that just the air from the fan on low had me screaming in pain for days plus itching and hives that took 5 doses of oral Benadryl and one dose of iv Benadryl to reverse
All the symptoms I had were worth it and worth it to my family. Covid took the life of my son before a vaccine was invented. It's saving people from that loss.
I've had four doses of Moderna. I'm sad to say that it caused extreme depression, high anxiety, and just overall horrible for me for several days afterwards. BUT, I have not gotten COVID, and if I do my chances of dying are much less.
676d
All three Pfizer shots knocked me down for the count for a week each. I was extremely tired and also experiencing nasty flare ups with them. All that said, I'm one of few who had reactions to the vaccine and was kept longer every time I got one just to make sure I'd be okay. Chalking it up to a poor, overwhelmed immune system and anxiety. And while it was hellish to go through, it isn't the worst of my pain experiences and it actively protects me so I'd do it again if need be in a heartbeat. 11/10 experience, also all the nurses who gave them to me were great. First one even made sure I knew she'd not leave my side while I was having an uncomfortable reaction. ❤️
I just had my 2nd booster 3 ago, this one got me worse than the others. For 36-40 hrs had a fever and was exhausted and of course arm pain. Also the injection was so high up on the arm that it hurt a muscle that's connected to my neck. That and the arm really hurt still.☹️
677d
I can't ftake it andI refuse to. Yes it'sreal, bu thefact that this qas rammed through likeit wss and Dr. Fauci wants evrybody around the world vaccinated tells me he'smaking mney off of it. Also go on C-SPAN type in Dr. Anthony Fauci and Sen. Rand Psul and you'll get the truth. Also there tare now 15 medical social networks where you can even discuss COVID-19 vaccines without grtting deplatformed for "disinfornation."
@Denotchka I apologize for the typoes:Paul, are getting disinformation. Gee whiz!
I'm thankful for the vaccine. My entire household is fully vaxxed. We all had covid earlier this year and I am so glad that we were vaccinated prior to becoming ill. It could have been so much worse. ❤️
A sore arm for s few hours and felt a little crappy for a few hours but that’s about it. Just feel better having it knowing I am at high risk. I still wear a mask if I am out in stores and doctor appointments
just got my 2nd booster slight headache and sore arm of course no other problems
Me and my husband are fully vaccinated yet we both still caught it. I had it three times. But I learned that the vaccine doesn't stop you from getting it. It just makes things more manageable when you do get it.
The Covid vaccine and booster made me super tired like I was almost dying and I got the j&j vaccine both times. I’m scared to get the next booster if I get it at all
I'm too anxious to get the vaccine. I know it's proven to help, but my brain always goes to the worst case scenario.
Felt like I got hit by a truck the day after my first dose but subsequent doses were virtually side effect free. Definitely worth it.
679d
i didn’t have any notable side effects with either the first or second shot. i did run a fever with the booster though
680d
I got all mine and my boosters. It has helped me battle COVID and I haven't needed to hospital for it. It saves lives. I understand not everyone can get it, especially people with certain immunocompromised disorders/diseases/stuff. But, I am also immunocompromised (undiagnosed 🙄) and works for me. It helps protect my family. All of use got our vaccines and only half of us actually got COVID. Half positive half negative. The science on these new vaccines is all real. I even have someone in my family who volunteered in the studies before they were released into the public. They work!
I can't have them and I'm terrified because of that😥
I never got any of them. But im not one of those types who bash people for their decisions. I have a lot of friends who have tho. I think its a matter of your choice❤️
Have not had the shot or COVID. ❤️🙏🏽 I have a very vunerable immune system and I stay away from ppl I Mainly stay inside. I make sure everyone else around me is covid free. My family members have had COVID and the shots. I have had neither, and it's going to stay that way. 🤗 Stay clear from others and keep your space clean. That's my ticket to a healthy life and it's been working well. 😌
I got two covid shots and still caught it three times. It was hell. But I have to say the vaccine may have kept it from becoming worse. So it's all good.
681d
My whole family just got Covid and all we had we a fever and achy for a few days now we antibodies. Beat that.
I have had four doses of Moderna. Each round made my mental health really bad for a while after...we are talking extreme depression, high anxiety, etc. Each dose was worse than the last. I say this not to scare, but hopefully to comfort someone who had similar reactions.
682d
I wanted to get it but I could never make the time to get it.
683d
I got the vaccine and caught the virus 7 weeks later
@jerrielyn the vaccine doesn't stop you from getting covid, it stops you from being killed from it. It kinda forms an immunity
@Vi.Vi yes. Just like the flu shot. It won't stop you from getting it, but it will stop it from being potentially deadly
Still got it
I didn't get one, there's not enough testing done yet with epilepsy
Had COVID twice. First time was bad, second time was a mild cold. Would never ever ever even consider the "vaccine."
@Cupcake73 that's what I thought the day I found out my grandson was having problems in utero and a friend was being unplugged because of covid I went and got the vaccine not even a second thought.
@jerrielyn my cousin died from the vaccine so...
684d
Horrible reaction. I already had reactivated epilepsy from my initial covid experience. So a little bit of tremors but after the shot I was having such violent ones I couldn't hold anything and sometimes fall. I also got a rash had it biopsied which came back as a drug reaction
I got covid and was so incredibly sick I lined right up to get my vaccination when I recovered. I had an awful reaction to the infusion, I only had some arm pain from the vaccine at the injection site.
695d
My experience with the shot was way better than I thought it would be
I never really was a fan of vaccines, but then I had my baby and ended up getting vaccinated so I don't pass anything to him!
@MiloSunshine I still got covid, even after the 2nd dose though 🙄
It gave me a light headache for a couple days but nothing too bad. I’m glad I’m able to help protect myself and the people around me.
I had no issues with it and I haven’t gotten sick or anything.
i got the pfizer for the first 2 and felt achy and sore after the second one but was pretty much fine. i also got a pfizer booster and experienced pretty much the same.
First one gave my a bad headache and I slept all day, the next 2 I was totally fine (honestly I usually feel worse after the flu shot than I did Covid shots). I’m grateful for getting them!
Have any of you seen the video of the guy who invented the mRNA technology?
I had no reaction to the first dose, second dose though brought an onslaught of fatigue, drowsiness and my hip pain was 2x worse. I called my mom in tears because I physically couldn’t do anything I was so exhausted. It was during the Summer but I had to attend drivers ed and after that I came home and slept through the rest of the day, 12pm-7/8pm. Would get it again in a heartbeat, though.
I had no problems. Got it in my 2nd trimester and both my baby and I are great! He's 7 months old now.
i had alot of soreness for the first one, mild for the second and barely any for the booster. other than soreness, i had no problems
I didn't have covid, my first dose gave me a headache and a sore arm. My second dose didn't really phase me. My partner *might* have had covid before tests were available, he had a fever and headache the first dose. Second dose was a fever and stomach issues.
696d
No issues with it at all, I waited a while for testing to have more research done but I got the first and second one just find. I personally didn't even get sick from it. Just a little sore. My college offered J&J but I got Pfizer
Nope
I was fine apart from a sore arm.
First shot made me pretty ill with flu like symptoms (low grade fever, fatigue, muscle aches that were outside of my normal pain) for about 4 days, and I felt more fatigued than usual for about a week. Second shot was easier for me, I had an intermittent headache for about 3 days that was easily treated with Tylenol, and my arm was pretty sore and I was tired for a day or two after, but no fever that time and just had to take it easy for 2 days after. Third shot I had a sore arm the day of and mild headache the day after but past that no issues. Other than the first shot, the reaction I had for the 2nd and 3rd shot were pretty much identical to how I feel after my yearly flu shot. And given my living situation with high risk immunocompromised family members who were advised by their doctors to not get the shot, it made more sense to my personal risk assessment to get the shots and take a half week off and feeling crappy for a bit after the first one than to not. I'm still taking precautions and wearing my masks and socially distancing to help protect my family, but I'm very grateful for the added layer of protection I have now
Still scared to get it with my conditions
I had to take extra time to rest after them, but no complications. Totally worth it to avoid complications of the virus being added to the conditions I already have
I got both Vaccines and 2 boosters and I can honestly say that I had no problems with them, except for some pain in my arm.
I had Moderna 1 & 2. With both were 24-48 hours of fever, freezing, shivering and fatigue. It also caused my Fibromyalgia to flare really bad.
697d
I hate them tbh. I had COVID last year and it beat me up. 2 weeks after I recovered I got the vaccine....it felt like I had it all over again. The second dose wasn't any better. I got the booster earlier this year...not much better.
@pumpkinspice what symptoms did you have
I never got mine and probably never will everyone was so worried about me and getting it multiple times cause I have a super week immune system. But only got once and had for 3 days that was over a year ago but my man gave it to me and he got the worse of it. And still struggles over a year later from it. He got vaccine only cause he was living with his parents and with then being up in age they insisted he get or he be wearing triple masks whenever he came into their home.
I was fine with the first and second but got a little achy with the third.
It killed two people I knew and put my grandfather into heart failure.
@ThisUsernameIsTaken Also our vaxxed roommate got covid but even with her in the house the other 4 non-vaxxed people here didn't. Idk
I only got one shot of Moderna. I've had arm pain and chest pain since receiving it in 2021 which is why I've never gotten the 2nd shot.
See I don't get it if you get the COVID shot you can still get COVID ?
@sho you can, I did. But it's thought to be less likely to catch and less severe if you do. I hardly had a choice about catching it again after my vaccines; my ex caught it from folks she cheated on me with and brought it home to guilt trip me into caring for her, so I was hella exposed. But when we both got COVID the first time, it messed me up so bad I still haven't been working. Triggered this snowball of autoimmune stuff. We both got the first two doses together, she handled them worse than me (my shots all just felt like a regular flare-up tbh,) and I got the booster alone. Not a month later, she brought it home. While I did catch it a second time, it wasn't nearly as bad as my first infection, and honestly, she seemed to handle COVID worse than I did when we got it that second time. So, I'm really glad I got my booster.
i have an extreme hate for needles but i didn’t necessarily make me feel side effects. the second one was terrible, i was in extreme pain telling them “im going to pass out, im going to faint” (i have pots) and HE TELLS ME “you’re being dramatic it’s just a small needle” excuse me? 😭 i pass out beyond my control, sir.
i didn’t get any covid symptoms at all, aside from the localized soreness from the shot itself. what i did get was a swollen lymph node, and now more so after my 2nd dose.
@nora.notes.84 where are your swollen lymph nodes? Do you still have them?
I didn't have many sideffects (swollen arm, headache, feeling yucky) from my original dose (jj&j) but since my booster was a different variety (phizer) it completely knocked me on my ass, probably because the two were different. I had a migraine for like four straight days after my booster...and a swollen arm,but that's just usual for me when it comes to injections.
698d
Not my cup of tea.
I am 70 and have taken no vaccine...worked around the public and have had no problems. I won't be taking that stuff in my body.
Had no problems at all.
i’m vaxxed, went to the justin bieber concert and the girl i was hanging around after the concert told us she wasn’t vaxxed cause she didn’t believe in it and if she needed to she’d get a fake vax card. 2 DAYS LATER I TESTED POSITIVE FOR COVID
I had no problems with the first 2. When I got the booster I felt like I had flu for a few days. It's because the first 2 shots were half doses, which makes up one whole dose. The booster is one full dose at one time. Because I have an autoimmune illness I was eligible for the full dose. Now for the second booster I will only get the half dose once more. I haven't had covid, and pray I never do. 🙏🏾
I have fibro and asthma issues..I got two vaccines and one booster...no side effects...
699d
I was so terribly sick but then I never got Covid *knock on wood* the vaccine kicked my ass so hard but while almost everyone I know got it I didn't. I did however get the regular flu twice 🤷
Felt sick for about 12 hours after shots 1 and 2. Then no issues. After the booster, same 13 hours of feeling sick, but I strangely started getting periods again (I hadn't had one in over a year with my IUD). Talked to my obgyn and she said that happens sometimes and it should go away in 2-3 months, and she was right. No issues since then!
700d
Had no big issues. Took both, and booster fine. Then tested positive months later and was a bit congested and coughing, and slept for almost 3 days straight. Still have a bit of brain fog from it
707d
Had first and second shot amd then boster and then ended up with the cold one of covid
I had gotten the Moderna vaccine. The 1st one I felt I had a cold afterward just for a day. The 2nd one I literally got sick felt like the flu and the booster just a sore arm.
708d
I got the worst case of cold/flue symptoms of my life. They lasted a week. I never got the second shot.
716d
I had no reaction from the first dose other than sore arm. The second dose I had intense muscle pain, like crying out in pain bad, and increased migraines from my usual episodic migraines for the next 2 weeks. Booster triggered a 64 hour migraine, my longest ever. Nothing touched the symptoms but I did not have vomiting and I was near broke so I did not go to urgent care or ER.
The first shot was fine but the second shot I was really sore and couldn’t move. It lasted only for a day though then I was back to normal
I have three, I got really sick with the second one but the rest were fine.
The second shot make my back hurt & my head hurts if I know all that was going happen then I wouldn't had got the shot if I had a do over I would never would got the shot
736d
I was totally against it at first, but since I worked in a nursing home and my parents are elderly I decided to get it...not long after it came out. I had the Moderna. The first one was fine but the second one made me sick for about three days, like a bad case of the flu. I had covid last December and I truly feel that being vaccinated kept me from being much sicker and being hospitalized. I'm 64 and diabetic. I got pretty sick, but with advice from my RN daughter and my niece that works in a hospital with covid patients, I come through it without major complications. I'm not getting the booster.
741d
I got 2 madernas and caught it 3x
743d
This is a bit tough for me because I got the booster in late December then horribly sick about two weeks later. So congested and had a feeling of not being able to breathe. In some ways I wonder if my nasal passages have been swollen since. I don't know if I had Covid or not. I probably wouldn't get another booster unless I had to for some reason.
I got all three, and hated everyone of them. The first two made my arm hurt for a couple of days. The last one gave me cold chills, sweating, and I was extremely tired. If they have a forth one I am not getting it.
744d
First dose, day after I was extremely fatigued. Second dose, I made sure to get enough sleep and I felt fine. Booster made me a little tired the next day, overall fine.
@Karkeys I think it was a fine experience, everyone should get vaccinated.
I was forced to get it because im a nurse or I would lose my job, first shot was fine the second one made me very very sick for over a week. 103 fever for days, throwing up, diarrhea, felt like I was hit by a truck..that was 8 months ago and my immune system is shot and im so tired all the time it's hard to get up and function
Just had my second booster. No problems at all except a sore arm
Injection site was sore for 3 days with every vaccination, that was pretty much it
I was asked if I was on blood thinners after my shots both times.(haven't gotten boosted yet)
I'm 23 with the Pfizer vaccine. My first two shots were fine. But my third one, I had an injection site reaction. And it stayed for about a month later. Being the size of an egg, extremely itchy, and bright red
I actually had no problems with the two shots, aside from obvious soreness. However the booster shot knocked me out for two days 😂
First dose- cold-like symptoms that lasted through second dose. No soreness. Second dose- puked about 16 hours after getting it. Then was completely fine, minus a sore arm. Third (aka booster) dose- cold+flu-like symptoms for about 5 days.
felt completely fine (other than hating needles) however, passed out after the second one 😅 sore arm as usual after shots but i’m glad i’m doing what i can to keep everyone safe
My partner on the other hand had severe symptoms from his second dose. He had muscle soreness so bad that he want bed bound the day after he received it. His symptoms cleared up completely the following day though, which was quite funny.
I was only sore in my arm for the initial shot, but the second one hit me much worse (still worth it though). I woke up in the middle of the night and threw up, then I just felt heavily fatigued and a little chilly the rest of the day. Nothing I couldn’t handle though. When I got my booster I did not have any symptoms.
My doctor told me that since I'm Immunocomprised that I shouldn't get mine yet.
First wasn’t too bad, just a sore arm. Second caused major flu like symptoms and I felt pretty sick. I honestly think the worst for me was my booster shot, because it gave me a headache unlike any I’ve ever had before. I have a history of chronic migraines but that headache was the absolute worst I have ever experienced.
Sadly after the second injection I started to experience seizures again. Before that I was seizure free for about 3 years.. the vaccine was the only thing that changed!
I had a sore arm & it was a bit red
745d
My experience was that it really was not that bad, I mean for both doses, and the third. Not bad at all, I did suffer from mild exhaustion after the second one but man I tell you what....if I had covid before the vaccine, I would have been toast
762d
i had no issues with both it felt like i had allergies like a stuffy nose a little cough and my throat was a little sore but it went away quickly
Got covid twice. Once right after I had the vaccine and a second time early this year
I got the vacation and I still got covid. All the adults in my house with it end up getting too. Kids never got it and they don't have the vacation. But I also took the most extreme measures to avoid contamination
My first shot had my arm sore to the point where if i moved it i would feel like someone punched me really hard or pinched me :T
772d
First one felt fine, second I had fatigue for a few days. I felt it was the best for me and glad I choose to vaccinate myself.
773d
First one was fine, but when I got my second, I got Covid 19 for a whole week.
774d
I was really tired and my asthma was a bit more aggravated than usual, as well as a dull headache but that only really lasted 3 days max. The booster did pretty much the same thing, accept my asthma wasn’t has bad. Glad I got it though. Would rather went through what I did then being at a higher risk and/or actually getting covid.
777d
I’m 3 times vaccinated and I’m very glad I did. Being immunocompromised is terrifying atm. I did feel REALLY sick with my booster though.
4
Flue I mean
I can’t get it cause I had a glue shot couple years ago got so sick from it I was off work for a month
I don’t have a personal story since I haven’t gotten the jab, and I don’t intend on getting it. I had covid December 2020. Moderate headaches, mild body aches, but I was only able to stay awake for about three hours a day. The fatigue was quite a blessing though because I was able to sleep the whole thing off. I was sick again November 2021, and got tested 3 times, all negative. It was so much worse than Covid. It even gave my sister bronchitis. I had so much pressure built up in my sinuses and it was difficult to sleep. It lasted about 2.5 weeks. Time for some stories from people I know. They still don’t regret getting the shot, but that’s from their own beliefs of the benefits. My sister’s teammate, (17) started to swell up the day after her first dose. She had to be rushed to the hospital because her throat started to close. My neighbor, probably in her 50’s, started to have autoimmune symptoms the week following her shot. She had never had anything like that before. My dad’s close friend, in his 60’s, noticed an irregular heartbeat. That has continued for several weeks now. Again, never had this problem before. I still encourage people with immune system issues, respiratory problems, and the elderly to get vaccinated if they want. I am just frustrated that other people- strangers- are actively trying to force me to take the shot, threatening my education and my family’s livelihood.
@Bridge_Id Let me get this straight, you’re cool with other people getting the vaccine, but you won’t get it because people are telling you that you should?
@AmyBriannah read again
First shot was not bad just sore arm second one was bad…fever every joint hurt, muscles throbbed even while laying still, heart palpitations. The day after I started to get heartburn and it was the worst heartburn I’ve ever had. My chest was on fire the skin was burning. It took about 3 days to go away. Got an EKG it was normal. Booster was totally fine no side effects other than mild injection site pain
I think it really messed with my condition. All the sudden objects are talking to me. It feels like I’m in a massive room and I’m an ant and the sounds are getting louder and louder every day. The echos of my past scare me. But this wasn’t the case before the vaccine.
Yep. Your arms gonna hurt. You’ll have symptoms a little more worse than the flu. Stops at 24-48 hours after shot. People bitchin for no reason
778d
Over all not too many… Having Turners, I was a bit anxious
810d
My body swelled up and I couldn't move. I had a fever for about a week with each shot and I was pretty sick. On the bright side I've been exposed to covid a handful of times since then and I haven't tested positive for it
I had a little fatigue and a slight headache with shots 1 & 2, but that was it
812d
I got my booster the weekend before last. I was super miserable on Monday. I had a fever, I was exhausted, and everything hurt so bad...
I didn't know I had OCD at the time. I got Johnson & Johnson first. My aunt went me or I would have chickened out or canceled my appointment. I got my first shot late afternoon on a Thursday. I had a mild fatigue and a mild headache that lasted about 2 days. I got the booster (Pfizer) in October 2021. I was nervous. My arm hurt a little at the injection site. Again, had mild fatigue. Got the booster 6:30 pm on a Friday. Felt a little off Saturday and totally back to normal by Sunday morning.
Only achey arms and that's all. It was a great decision
814d
Since I am high risk, with a chronic lung condition, I have had the two vaccines and see my Dr Tues, to possibly get a booster shot
I had no problems with the first shot and the second dose made me feel tired and a headache the next day only. I got Covid months after being fully vaccinated before the booster came out. A month later I got the flu and was really sick for 2 weeks. It’s taken me 2 months to feel like myself again. I’m glad I got vaccinated because Covid didn’t hit me hard thank goodness! Flu knocked me down!
my first shot was fine, i thought i was dying with the second(headaches, crazy fever, thought i was going to vomit, and just crazy pain that only lasted about 12 hours) and then my booster was headaches, a bit of a fever and some tachycardia that was a bit concerning but ended up being fine
Jab free
@Mommabear86 that is not something to be boastful about, tf?
830d
Everytime I get a vaccine, I get Covid Arm!!!
839d
Didn’t get the shot yet but I’m planning on getting it . I was afraid of it hurting me in some way because of my condition but now I want to get the Covid vaccine. But I did get the flu shot and everything was fine.
840d
I got Pfizer. My first one I had no side effects. My second one I was fine, felt a little tired while I was out shopping the day after and went home and took a nap and then was fine otherwise. I got my booster in November and I figured since my first two I was okay I would be fine but I did feel pretty achy and yucky with the booster for a couple days. But I’d rather feel icky for a couple days than end up intubated. Or shed more virus and potentially give it to someone else. Totally worth it. No other symptoms from it.
Had no reaction to my first shot. About 18 hours after my second shot I had slight aches and was just very fatigued. I got my booster yesterday at 4 (it’s almost 7 the next day). During the night my body started reacting to the shot. I got awful aches, joint pain, a fever, and in the middle of the night I vomited. My stomach is fine now but I’m not feeling any better yet
I don't get sore anymore for normal vaccines (thanks immunosuppressant meds!) First dose, felt like had cold water running down my arm for hours, got super light headed and thought a would pass out about 2 hrs post shot. 2nd dose was just minor soreness and no other symptoms. 3rd dose/booster no soreness or symptoms at all. 🤔
Both doses i just had mild flu symptoms nothing crazy and im gonna get my booster sometime in the next week so we'll see how that goes
I had covid in November 2020 and then got my vaccine in January and February. Covid was thankfully mild for me, the first vaccine gave me the worst sore arm I've ever had, the second one made me sick for a few hours the next day. Worth it, though. Waiting to see when I can get my booster through work.
I had a sore arm. Not much more than that.
841d
I had no problem with the first one the second one I had cold chills ache body the bosster I was fine
I go it as soon as I could!! I got Pfizer 1st two doses and the booster. I was exposed in close contact at least 4 times. I have tested negative each times. I know without a doubt I would have been at least hospitalized with it if I didn't get the vaccine. That firt days after we're hard, but nothing like being hospitalized
Got Pfizer - first shot gave me hot flashes (okay, but manageable). Second shot made me feel ill and I should’ve taken a day or two off.
The first one just had me sleeping for two days and a very sore arm, the second dosage I got with while fighting a sinus infection with swollen neck lymph nodes lol soooo I didn’t have the best experience I just felt like a very bad sinus infection with fevers and headaches and I haven’t gone for the 3rd one because I’ve been fighting a cold
I got the first shot at 6pm and the next day my arm was really sore. I ended up taking Motrin but the next day it wasn’t that bad. Other than that no problems. The second shot I didn’t have any symptoms. It wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be.
Greatest nap of my life
I got moderna and I had no symptoms other than a sore arm at the injection site and I just booked my booster for next weekend so hopefully all is good there too
first shot (pfizer) went fine & the second shot i had muscle soreness & was tired but felt good enough to go to work still
842d
The first dose I had of Pfizer caused the lymph nodes in my neck to swell really bad and they didn’t go back to normal for a couple of weeks. The second dose went better, I didn’t have a reaction like I did from the first dose but I did feel like I had a hangover the next day lol
I developed an autoimmune disorder after a vaccine so I am refusing to get another one unless I absolutely need it. I’m young and relatively healthy and had covid twice already! I’m worried it would cause me to get sicker over time.
843d
Very sick from both. Nausea and hot flashes.
844d
For the first vaccine I was fine, but the second one was so bad. I actually thought I was gonna die, so I lied on the floor and cried
My first and second weren’t bad but my booster shot kicked my butt. It felt like I had a flare of all my conditions at once especially my RA. I was in so much pain for almost a week
felt kinda gross for a day after the first, just sore arm after the second. def worth it for me.
845d
I had no problems with the covid vaccines. I got both and the booster shot. (:
all three doses (all moderna) made me sleep for a couple days straight, but that was about it besides injection site pain. definitely worth it.
Fine with all three doses
846d
I haven't had a bad reaction to either Pfizer initial shots and didn't have any reaction to the booster, aside from a sore arm. My girlfriend had nasty reactions to both rounds of the pfizer vaccine though.
I had COVID before the vaccine and only got a little sleepy when I got my second dose. Highly recommend getting the vaccine even if you have had it or are not at risk
854d
I was just sick for about a day both doses and then I was fine. The first dose I was also having an adverse effect to a new med I had started so it mixed with the covid vaccine side effects and I was completely out of commission miserable all day. The second dose? Just sore and a little nauseous. Nothing a good ride through the city in the car didn't help. Plus making sure I actually filled my belly too. All in all I'm ready for the booster tbh.
I had Pfizer. First and second shots were fine other than extreme pain and inflammation at the site. The third shot (booster) left me in bed all day no enery and no appetite.
855d
I had no issues on the first one but the second one I had a normal reaction and stayed in bed and felt gross for a few days and then I was fine :)
856d
neptune_mars do you plan on getting a booster shot? I heard that if you got the Moderna, the booster should be Pfizer and vice-versa. I'm still a few months away from getting my booster, though.
Made me feel like i was dying after the second shot moderna increase my period to heavy instead of normal had to constantly change. Couldn’t even eat felt dizzy i told my obgyn she didn’t really help
my doctor advised me not to get it because i developed ménière's disease from the hpv vaccine. it's gotten progressively worse for the past 7 years, and i was only diagnosed with it about a year and a half ago. it's frustrating more so because of how people treat me when they find out i'm unvaccinated, even though i can't get it, rather than not being able to get it. people don't understand it's scary not being able to get it and just come after me because it's become a political issue rather than a personal one
@callmeblue Lots of pro vaxxers believe you should not have the right to refuse the vaccine, completely reverse of my body my choice!
857d
I've had three Covid shots and no problems at all!
First one hurt my shoulder like hell, second one my shoulder didn’t hurt but I felt really tired and achy so I took some children’s Tylenol since it comes as a syrup and it helped greatly
I had covid in Dec 2020 and it’s the first time in my life I honestly thought I might die from an illness. I’m so glad I got the vaccine for any level of protection. I had Pfizer for both doses…the first I had arm soreness and took naps for a few days. The second dose was barely noticeable. I am truly thankful to have both natural and artificial immunity.
i’m a very sickly person but i surprisingly had no reaction besides a sore arm and some fatigue
I thought id be fine but my dumbass went to Walmart and frew up. My poor rph KEEP IN MIND THO its normal for me. I just wasn’t expecting it.. just vasovagal. I was fine the first shot otherwise!! I (obv) hate needles and it rlly didnt hurt :0! The second one tho i was fine with but i got a headache and the next day i felt like i had a cold. Like just the body aches and malaise feeling. Feeling awful and laying in bed. Then i was fine!! My patients tell me the 3rd puts them out for a day too so im not excited
858d
I got both doses, but after what I can only assume was a mast cell reaction that included a delayed onset depression/ anxiety attack thing (I don’t actually have either) I am thinking it might be better to just stay in quarantine.
Oh man, I reacted so poorly to the second dose. It sent me to the hospital. With all my conditions and illnesses, my body is so sensitive and I guess it got overwhelmed. I was in observation for 4 days while nurses slowly got my electrolytes back up (because they were dangerously low from throwing up for 3 days straight :’) ) At least I’m immunized now, but I’m very afraid of getting the booster and repeating what happened!
I had a 2 week flare up with the second shot. The booster wasn’t half as bad as the second shot 😊
Both shots were awful for me. The first one was worse, I had vertigo, nausea, migraines, aches, etc. The second wasn't as bad. Mostly just aches and migraines. But im fully vaccinated and feel it was completely worth the few days I was down
My experience was very uneventful I had no bad side effects to it I got the Pfizer vaccine and booster
Mmm I got Moderna and also moderna booster. I was feverish and headache and body ache and obviously pain at the site. But a warm compress helped the site pain and moving my arm alot. I had the effect for a day. Body pain for like 1.5 to 2 days. But not bad. The second was the worst for me and the first shot I had no issues. The booster I had body pain but that's it. I'm glad I got it though. 👍
I received both the Pfizer vaccines. Haven't gotten a booster yet. But my experience with it was positive. My arm was super sore with the first shot, but I managed pretty well.
the first one was alright but the second one made me sick and i had to leave work early 😥
859d
My body is already on fire - huge flare up since august so I’m not gonna add fuel to the fire
i got pfiezer. the first shot i was okay with and the second one hurt my arm a lot and i also felt like i had a really severe flu for about 48 hours
I got moderna. I had body aches and chills for two days but that was the extent of my reactions. I was really nervous about possible side effects but luckily I had my partner supporting me and they came with to the appointment. I’ve heard it’s affected everyone a little differently
Made me sick for 4 weeks with first shot
860d
I have a needle fear I will have a panic attack and punch or kick the doctor so I can’t get it 😢
we got pfizer and the first shot was fine - we went out to a ranch immediately afterwards. the second one though was bad. i got headache and i threw up the night i got it. i am not getting the booster until i am not as busy as i currently am in casr it gets really bad
My first dose didn’t result in any side effects, only a sore arm. The second one however was quite a rollercoaster. I got hot, achey, tight skin, loss of appetite, headache, and clogged nose. Regardless I would get the vaccine again, I’ve had family members and friends who refused to get the vaccine and have died, young and old. Feeling terrible for a few days is better than lying in a hospital bed with those same symptoms and an increased chance of death.
Not gonna get it bc we have a low immune system
@jb13087 I thought that is when you need it?
I had a severe allergic reaction to both of my manderna(spelling). So my Dr has put in my medical records that I am allergic. Every patient is different. So I hope no one makes a decision solely on my experiences.
Fine. Side effects for a day or two then was all better.
Sleeplessness19 - I had no ill effects with my anti-psych meds at all. In fact I had only the usual sore arm at the injection site. I had the Moderna vaccine both times and when I go get my booster I will be getting the Pfizer vaccine. I've had two DVTs and I certainly don't need anymore!
861d
I've gotten both doses and the booster, all Moderna. I had literally zero side effects besides a sore arm the day after each one
i was kinda tired and sore a day or so after i got both my shots but other than that i was fine
I'm honestly afraid to take it because I fear I have the same autoimmune condition my grandfather had, called primary immunodeficiency, and shots are the devil! I remember having a tetanus shot and being told I would feel better the next day, but ended feeling like death for a week. The v@xx scares me. I've already had COVID back before it was known as COVID and I don't think my body could deal with the shots like that. I don't have the right immune system to handle it.
@CaLeJi1994 sounds like you need to talk to a specialist/doctor! I hope you stay safe and healthy ❤️
I got my 1st and 2nd shots while my husband was home so he could keep an eye on me in case anything untoward might happen. I was fortunate enough to not have any major side effects of any kind. Now I'm just waiting to get my booster shot. I still have a couple of more months to go before I can.
862d
Headache, arm hurt couple days.
I spent three days not being able to sleep on my side both times, and i got body aches, headaches, fever and fatigue pretty bad. Im going to do it again for the booster though. Its worth the feeling of security, and being able to go out again.
FWIW, I had Moderna
First dose (February) - nothing Second dose (March) - next day I was tired, flushed, and had a small headache Booster (October)- next day I woke up feeling okay-ish, but then I made the mistake of running an errand, and when I woke up from a nap, my whole body ached so badly. Temperature got up to about 100, but all of that went away after less than 24 hours.
My body is already on fire - flare-up. I get to not touch a vaccine yet.
I had an awful reaction to it. I was so sick for days, even more so with my second dose. Come to find out I was having an allergic reaction. I'm also currently getting my heart checked out as I started experiencing problems once I was fully vaccinated.
864d
The first one my arm hurt SO BAD, I almost went to the hospital about it. The injection site itself and surrounding area were fine, not hot or red, but my whole arm hurt so bad to move and sleep on for 4-5 days. Second my arm hurt mildly for about 2 days but I had a low fever and felt kind of blah.
865d
So happy to be fully vaccinated plus booster
My first dose was fine! With my second I had the midnight fever and chills but I broke it with a heated blanket and was just tired! With the third I just had a bit of a sore shoulder! All 3 were Pfizer!
866d
I had Pfizer. I was tired the next day, but over all I didn't really have any side effects
I took Pfizer. The rest of my family took Moderna and felt weary. If you want to feel good after your shot I recommend Pfizer.
I had the virus last fall and have since had three shots. Each one made me terrified I had the virus again because of symptom resurgence but have given me an added peace of mind after that passes. Pain at injection site, extreme fatigue and body aches, chills, and a low grade fever
867d
Both shots were easy! I got the Mederna. My arm was a little sore and that’s it!
1st time, my arm was extremely sore. 2nd time I woke up sick, chills, aches and pains, dizziness, extreme headaches and exhaustion. However, I did end up getting COVID about 3 months before. I’m waiting to get my booster till I finish school and I don’t have to work, just incase I do get sick again.
876d
Maybe a little sick for a day afterwards. Aside from that, no issues. 10/10 would definitely recommend
No side effects at all
I got the Pfizer one and the first one I had a horrible headache and tiredness. Second one just a mild sore arm.
899d
Moderna - I couldn’t move my arm after the first one and I slept all day, otherwise was ok. After the second one I had a little more pain in my upper body and was also really tired but otherwise I didn’t have many effects.
904d
Got the booster shot (moderna) yesterday. Still experiencing minor side effects : low grade fever, headache, body aches. Not as bad as the second does . I got it at CVS and the pharmacist told me the moderna booster shot is only half a dose of the second shot . Maybe that’s why I’m still having some mild side effects
905d
i was down for a couple days after the first dose then down for a week and haven’t ever come back to my baseline after that. my second dose was in mid august. but i also had another adverse reaction to antibiotics after that and some stress. and more pain. different illnesses and diagnoses. having weird seizures now and worse pain and migraines overall - they were daily but now theyre just stronger daily. i cant handle the idea of being unvaccinated for everyone’s sake but i really wish i would come back to baseline too.
@moonstone wow. The same thing happened to me after getting the Pfizer vaccine. I received the booster shot at the end of February and never fully recovered. I don't feel comfortable in my own body. Daily migraines, random armpit pain, loss of appetite, lymph node swelling, changes in akin texture, itchy skin. I hate that I did this to myself
I felt sick for two days after my first Moderna shot. After the follow-up, I felt sick for 3 days. I recently received my booster shot and felt ill for 2 days afterwards. Well worth it, though.
906d
I was only sore at the injection site for a few days, nothing else happened.
908d
We’ve had mRNA technology since the late 60s/early 70s so the technology is pretty old— we just haven’t had a chance to use it in the US until now (source: Johns Hopkins). If you’ve had COVID, you’re more likely to have side effects than if you haven’t had COVID and got the vaccine, with any vaccine. Personally, I got Pfizer and was just really tired 24 hours after my second dose (I slept a lot, was really light headed). After the first 24 hours passed, I was totally fine! I didn’t have COVID before getting vaccinated. Overall, getting the vaccine is a way better option than getting COVID! Whoever gives you the vaccine keeps for 30 minutes to monitor for any side effects, and tou can report any weird events to the CDCs VAERS system
I just got mine yesterday. Today I feel like I got hit by a bus. And my arm is bruised where I got it (normal for me) I have an autoimmune disorder so my doctor strongly suggested I get it. And my therapist hopes it will help my anxiety.
I just had my booster and felt achy for a day. I think it’s extremely important to get especially if you are immunocompromised!! I’m a nurse too so if you have more questions feel free to reach out!
915d
I have a chronic lung disease so I was so terrified of catching covid, I stopped working. I got the Pfizer vaccine, and the only side effect I had was extreme exhaustion for 3 days. I feel safer knowing even if I catch it, it won't hit me as hard as if I wasn't vaccinated, and hopefully wouldn't be hospitalized or worse.
916d
So I got the Moderna vaccine and the first shot I had arm pain for several days and then on the second dose I had such a strong reaction to where I had a high fever for several days and I had no energy I felt terrible. Did anyone else experience this?
@ConnaStella yes, I felt sick and severe fatigue for an entire month. I'm even had lymph node swelling
629d
@Chippergirl I'm having the same reaction! My lymph nodes under my armpit are swollen and hurt. How long did your swollen last you?
has anyone else had the arm pain come back? about a week after it stopped hurting it came back just as bad as the first day. Then about a month later. A couple days ago it started again. I wouldn't think it would have anything to do with the vaccine but it hurts the same way in exactly the same place. Super weird... The second shot I had a decent fever for about a day. Other than that the arm pain is my only complaint.
@siranrian yes. The same thing happened to me. I had arm pain for over a month
@siranrian I've had that with steroid injections. I didn't have it with the covid vax but a steroid shot for a sinus infection will hurt forever. Lol
*testing
Last time I was sick was jan or Feb of 2020, thought I had flu was sick for like 3 days then on a sunday I felt fine so I thought it was over, well monday I was sick again, it was like I had 2 illnesses, but no one was resting at the time so I guess I'll never know
Sore arm with both had the Moderna. 2nd time I say I had more side effects, not feeling sick per day, but just tired
Had no side effects and didnt even feel the prick!
917d
Had no symptoms from either doses of the Pfizer and it was quick and easy injections! I did them both in my right arm, since im right handed, and it went rlly well like nothin happened.
I had my 1st shot on Monday and I've been really tired and slow to get my chores done. Having to rest more.
I had two dhots of Moderna. Rashing first dhot, no side affects second.
918d
I did not have any reaction from the Covid shot.
My first shot just gave me arm pain just like the flu shot, the second shot game me chills for like an hour or so but I jumped in the shower and I was ok 👍. Taking the shot may have a reaction just like if you get Covid but I rather take my chances with the shot because the risks are a lot less then getting Covid. Ask your doctor for advice if your doubting it based on your health.
My arm hurt for 3 days while working, had mild cold symptoms, a little nausea on one day, but overall was worth it ❤️
My arm only hurt for like a day
919d
It hurt for a little bit in the arm over the following night but overall that’s it
I had no effects from the vaccine but did have a UC flare up a couple months later which I feel is related (no other triggers identified). No regrets because a flare up is better than death by COVID but it ruined my remission which is frustrating 😥
920d
After my second dose, I felt like I had flu for one day. The first dose was mild, with just a little pain in the injection area.
Sore arm and mild headache is all I had. I can't say if I got sick after 2nd dose because I was already in a flare before the 2nd dose, so I didn't feel any different or worst.
I actually had never had the vaccine yet I had covid back in February of 2020 (02/2020) and it took me a few weeks to recover my symptoms were mild to moderate and nothing severe that normal cough medicine wasn't able to suppress it wasn't as bad as some of the more dangerous cases out there. My doctor had recommended getting the vaccine if I was worried about getting covid again but I was not that concerned because I am pretty healthy with a good immune system I heard that if I were to get covid I could still get the vaccine to help which is probably what I would do in the future I'm not sure how I feel about the vaccine but I have been in contact with people who had the virus and did not seem to get sick again after contact I'm not sure how I feel about the whole virus and or vaccine situation but I'm sure people who need the vaccine would definitely benefit and people who are worried would be more at ease I've heard good and bad thing about it all One thing I heard is someone who never had the virus and got the vaccine sometimes had worse results when they did get the virus then someone who had it then got the vaccine having more mild symptoms I'm not sure how true it is but definitely something to think about when considering getting it. To all those who did or didn't get it I wish you good health and hope everyone's messages help you decide to get it if you need it :) don't let my one snippet from a blog I read scare you out of it. It has saved many lives way more then that could possibly caused risk in rare cases, I would get it but I personally don't think it is necessary for me at the moment but would definitely consider it in the future maybe when it's more revised and is approved properly and tested with a bit more time
@JettaGuy67 what do you mean, If you get covid then you will get the vaccine? I'm just a little confused because it sounds like you mean the vaccine will clear up the covid? But thats not how that works, which I'm sure you know I'm just a little confused sorry
I had Moderna. I just kinda slept all day, thank fuckin goodness. I was so paranoid.
921d
After my 2nd shot had 101° fever back in May. Had to miss work
The 1st dose just made my arm hurt, but the 2nd dose gave me a sore arm an some nausea, but that's it.
I had a sore arm and slept a bunch for a day, then I was fine.
I received my vaccine in May, the only problem I had was a sore arm.
I got my booster today-and my flu shot in the other arm. (The flu shot side is much more sore than the COVID booster side.)
@Susanne I did the same I got my 1st and 2nd had no issues except sore arm no biggie. 3rd one had flu shot done @ same time. Just sores arms lol I was extremely thankful for just that. Now I’m trying to get my 4th! Then in the fall who knows.
I've had all 3 doses of the Pfizer. I was pregnant during the first 2 (around 13 and 16 weeks along). Very tired after the 1st and 3rd, I had a migraine and vomiting with the second...but that could have been from my pregnancy 🤷🏼♀️
922d
I had the Pfizer vaccine. After the first shot, I had injection site soreness and felt tired. After the second, I ran a 101.7 fever for about 18 hours and had a headache. I get my booster tomorrow.
Felt sick for a few days with each shot. Good other then that.
I had a bad flare up. My inflammation was crazy. I was in bed for two weeks. But hopefully I won't die from covid.
923d
I had a really bad rash in the arm that I had the shots in and felt run down but really nothing much else.
👍I didn't really have any issues except mild fever and sure arm
924d
I felt sick only after the last one.. I had low fever, my hand and neck were really painful and my Crohn’s symptoms were worse. I had really bad stomach aches, nausea and diarrhea 😖
when I was finally medically cleared 3 weeks ago I got my first dose - I got Pfizer. I had a 101.4 fever for about 15 hours & severe chills, but nothing else. as soon as I was able to take benadryl it all went away. I'm getting my 2nd dose this week, so wish me luck!
Thanks @sleepysleeps. I guess that's what vaccines were up til now. That's why consulting a medical professional is always the best advice.
@Nightowl the mRNA vaccines actually teach your body how to make a protein to trigger an immune response in your body. It doesn’t give you a part of the virus. This spike protein is completely new and never been used before. @sleeplessness19 definitely discuss with your doctor but do keep in mind they might not know either. It’s all very new.

A vaccine gives you a tiny bit of the virus so your body can produce antibodies, that shouldn't affect medication. I suppose there could be an ingredient in the delivery system that would negatively affect some medications but I haven't heard anything and it's such a small amount. The best thing is to discuss this with your Doctor and/or pharmacist and they can address your concerns.
I got mine in April, and the second dose in may, it made me really sick but that's how I react to every vaccine so it wasn't surprising, other than that it was completely fine
926d
Got the shot in July, was dizzy for about 10 minutes with first shot, second shot no side effects. No big deal
928d
got my vaccine as soon as i could. it’s been great knowing that i’m less at risk and so are those around me. i knew i had to get vaccinated when my niece was born. i couldn’t put her at risk. i feel great and am getting ready to get my flu vac.
929d
The COVID vaccine is better than getting COVID!!!!
9
@magalito lmfao......
@magalito you can still get covid
@magalito considering I know of at least 2 dozen people who have had nothing but heart problems, respiratory disorders, and numerous other health issues that started within 2 days after receiving the vaccine, I really doubt that.
11
@dollipop I've been too sick to work for over a year. I already had some autoimmune/neurological issues at a point so mild I just felt "off" some days, but COVID caused it all to accelerate to where I've been too sick to hold down a job. I got pretty mild side-effects from all 3 doses of the vaccine. Felt like I got tetanus and influenza shots the same day, super not fun (though still better than the HPV vaccine when it first came out- I was in the first batch of teens to get it, back when they encouraged parents to schedule it for Fridays so we wouldn't miss school the next day.) But COVID? Two weeks of fever, asthma, and body aches, both times I got it. I was glad I'd been vaccinated by the second time cause I think that made it milder. On a daily basis, since my first infection in 2020, I've struggled with heart, lung, GI, eye, ENT, and systemic issues on a daily basis. I know if the shot existed before my first infection and I knew what I do now, I would've gotten vaccinated in a heartbeat.
@dollipop if people react simply due to the vaccine, can you imagine how they’d react if they actually got it? My mom reacted worse to her vaccine compared to me. We later contacted Covid. He had a much more difficult time with symptoms than I did. She lost her taste and I didn’t. And I TRULY believe that if we hadn’t gotten the vaccine, it would have been much worse! Having Covid is NOT fun! The pros much outweigh the cons of getting the vaccine.
@dollipop I'm really sorry to hear that but those are also symptoms of Covid and long Covid, unfortunately. It sounds like even if they had avoided the vaccine and gotten covid life wouldn't have necessarily been better :(
I had the J&J, and I slept the 1st night - my roommate said I yelled out in pain (I was asleep, idk!). After that I had only (to me) normal achy run down feeling. My friend had the J&J, and was fine for 3 days, then felt like he got hit by a truck with body aches and exhaustion. Our preexisting conditions also change how our immune system responds. I think that explains the difference between me & my friend
930d
With my conditions and sensitivity to inflammation, I reacted horribly to both Pfizer shots. They left me so swollen and completely in pain throughout my body. I would do it again though since it means keeping myself and everyone around me safer from COVID. Much better than intubation and being alone in ICU
I had a reaction to the 1st Manderna and a worse reaction to the 2nd one.
935d
I got the Pfizer first shot sore arm second shot nothing
Slightly sore arm and tired for a day or two but not a bad experience
My arm was sore obviously, and I was super tired the next day. That's about it! I heard some people having their period come back and worse but that didnt happen to me.
936d
I got Pfizer, both shots. Unfortunately I did develop neuropathy (Guillain-Barré syndrome). My neurologist said he isn’t sure if it was due to the vaccine or related to Covid-19 when I got it last December. Other than that the vaccine just gave me a bit of a sore arm. :)
I had two doses of Pfizer, about to get my booster. Had a sore arm, and a mild fever after the second dose, but otherwise totally fine!!
I’ve had 3 doses of Pfizer so far and have only had a sore arm and some body aches after the second and third dose. Other than that, no other side effects.
940d
I had 2 doses of the Pfizer vaccine. Other than a sore arm and the sniffles for a few days, I experienced no problems.
941d
I had a sore arm, for both, but that was it.
Tired and a sore arm. That’s it!
The only side effect I experienced was soreness at the injection site. Other than that.. nothing at all.

I got the Pfizer one. I was nervous about it, I'm always nervous about needles, but this one moreso because of the rush and how a lot of people are against it. Besides a sore arm for a couple days I had no side effects. I also noticed it cleared up my runny nose both times (I have seasonal allergies) but that was probably psychological.

The first one was horrible! I had fever and fatigue but the second one was easier. Im happy that I did it though, makes me more calm.
I didn't really have any but I don't recommend moving half way across the country the next day
No matter what symptoms you experience. Its better than death!

I was totally fine. Just felt pain in my arm for couple of days after the injection
Got Pfizer, had no side effects but arm swelling. Feeling good about it

never had any issues with it walked right through it just had a sore arm for a few days
After the first and second one I only felt fatigue and had pain in my arm where i got the injection. Also I had migraines every day for a week after.
I only had fatigue after the second shot, no other side effects at all. I usually have stronger reactions to vaccines, so that was a very pleasant surprise, but I would have considered it worth while even if I had gotten sick for awhile afterwards.
I had a headache and arm pain for about a week after both doses, but otherwise had no issues and haven't had anything still after 7 months.

I had no problems with the first one but the second shot was horrible for me. Everything flared up to the max and I was in bed for like 4 days. I would do it again in a heartbeat though. Knowing that I am doing everything possible to protect myself and those around me from Covid is totally worth it. I plan on getting the booster as well, regardless of what my reaction may be.

@Lailla this didnt age well All the unvaccinated completely stopped getting infected 😅
@phatso source??
I had a night with high fever and shivering. Also, my injection shoulder was extremely painful for 3 days.
The first shot gave me a dull headache the same day but was easily treated with ibuprofen. The second shot have me a milder headache that day. The day after, I felt tired and feverish without actually running a fever. And of course the injection site is pretty sore for a couple days.

It gives me peace of mind to know I'm less at risk for getting COVID now, and my family/community is more protected as a whole. The only side effect I had was achey muscles for a couple days afterwards.

I felt sick for a day and then was better but it made my chronic migraines worse.
@Brittbratt did you get j&j? I did and I've had a migraine for like 2 months. I've migraines nearly every day for two months 😬 I got the shot years ago though so I don't know
@Brittbratt strange my migraines actually improved since I've been vaccinated. Before I would get them one a month buth they last 1-2 weeks. Now if I get them they dont last past 2 days...could be unrelated also.
@Brittbratt friendly reminder that correlation is not causation.

@Karkeys there are studies that show this is statistically highly likely to be the case. My doctor has validated this research and supports my decision as one of the main reasons not to get vaccinated with my conditions.
