Develop healthy habits to counter the negative effects of it; write stuff down on lists as soon as you think of it, keep a widget on your home screen with that list, place your living space to minimize the chances of you forgetting somethings (ex. Open clothing rack outside your wardrobe to make putting away clothes easier) and ive found that telling ppl your intentions helps with sticking to em, or having them remind you
I really like Google Keep as a place to just dump notes! It took me years to get a good system but find one that works for you. It might not be a planner and thatās okay. I would also say see what you can do to lower your caffeine intake or add routine to it
Keep researching coping mechanisms and asking for help if you can, because even if something doesn't work or only worked for a short while, there is plenty more coping mechanisms out there to help you
My biggest coping mechanisms was creating a space for everything, so that I could put something away and not create a mess in my room. I also like to use a big calendar of some sort, it allows me to see what things I need to do that day but also what I need to do that week so I can prepare in time, though a smaller planner can do that too if you prefer that. Try to find community to see how other people cope. I know someone on tiktok uses task bracelets to remind them what they have to do that day and when they're done with the task they can take off one bracelet and put it back in the jar. Or discord is where I've found a lot of people with similar struggles to me and they have all kinds of great tips and help me get over executive dysfunction by keeping me in check when I ask them to check up on me
