Has anyone used Cerebral or another online mental health subscription? I've been taking gabapentin for my mood swings for the last 3 years. I recently lost my health insurance and have since run out of my meds. I'm worried that it won't be able to prescribe me the medications that I have found I've been working the best so far. I was so close to getting to work I needed to be with my medications and now I can't afford to go back to those doctors. Any insight or advice would be truly appreciated.

Do you have any clinics that have a sliding scale?

yes but the way that they take income into account it would still be too expensive. They want me to include my children's income because they live with me even though they pay no bills.

That makes no sense that they are making you include your children's income. It's not your income. I'm not sure the living arrangements, I would ask someone if they even are counted in your "household"

they do live with me. The cost of housing right now is insane and they can't afford to move out. And some aspects I can't afford to have them keep living here so it's a yucky situation

finch is great, I need to re-download it. It's not therapy but it's a form of Journaling and acts as a reward system for doing so

I tried it ... Did not find it to be helpful ! What I did find for months even after verbally cancelling the clinic... I was still being charged almost 100$ a month ! It took me what seemed like FOREVER to stop them from charging me monthly & to get my hundreds of dollars back !

Gabapentin is really cheap with goodrx! My 90 day supply is only like $22, and that's on the higher end of their pricing because of the pharmacy I use. Your prescribing physician can continue to fill your scrip even without insurance. Idk about any online mental health services (although I will warn you that betterhelp has been caught selling their clients' data on multiple occasions) but you should still be able to get your medications fairly cheaply in the interim

My husband is a pharmacy tech so I always get good prices on my meds. My issue is that my GP won't write a prescription without me seeing a psychiatrist that he refers me to. The psychiatrist won't actually write the prescription but refers me back to my general practitioner so that he can write the prescription. When all is said and done I'm spending about $400 a month just for my maintenance medications to be refilled. I have a therapist that will see me even if I can't afford to pay him anything so I have continuing care there. I'm looking for a reasonably cost-effective alternative to keeping my medication maintained. Better help said that they could not help me with my disorder.
