Just wanted to share that I had a positive experience at my doctor’s office today after having a not-so-great experience at a different doc a couple of weeks ago. I feel like with endometriosis, you never know what you’re going to get because of how complex the disease is. Will my symptoms be considered seriously? Will I be listened to? Will I feel respected and cared for even though nothing shows up on my scans? The answer was yes today to all those questions. And I have a referral to see an excision surgeon at Stanford! Fingers crossed that this doctor might be a good match for me! 🙏🏻
I had positive experience with my doctor after I had bad experience with several doctors before him. It’s both comforting and frustrating to see an empathic, attentive doctor and to ask myself why do the other doctor are not the same
